just watched their glastonbury set in its entirety. with no songs from showbiz, matt not playing the piano on new born, the extremely poor selection of songs from the resistance, the fact that matt seems more interested these days in being a Spinal-Tap-esque rockstar on stage (and if the rumours are true, off stage also) and their touring member seemingly doing half the work, it was a little taxing to watch. but the cover of where the streets have no name, the jaw dropping final 30mins of their set, the crowd driven cover of House of the Rising Sun and of course Citizen Erased made it worth the time.

 

but i fear that muse have already reached that point in their careers where parts of their fanbase start to think "theyre playing a new song lets go for a toilet break or a drink at the bar" and that kinda detracts from their status as the best live act in the world.
