Hey guys I just made a song and would like to know what you guys think of it.

I messed up the guitar a little bit.. and I recorded the acoustic guitar with a mic cause I don't have an Eletric acoustic guitar yet.

Please let me know what I can improve or if it's pure shit. :D

Hmm...It's not bad, but I won't give you any more constructive critisism because I'm in hurry. Anyway, can I see lyrics? This song has something special because I appeared to have a mood to listen to it again.

It's quirky i like the guitar picking. Always record your acoustic with a mic even if you have an electro acoustic sounds better. I liked your words and the voice suited what you were getting across

Garvmg, I don't know maybe it's my mic or my really rubish guitar.. after I buy my electro acoustic guitar I'll try to record with the mic to see if it sounds better..

The lyrics are good, but for me they are too generalized

Yeah I agree with you that they are quite generalized, I actually made it by fooling around with the chords of the song, and it just came out.. I'm new at this composing world...

But hey it's all about improvising. That's when/where the best bits come out. When we create songs we do the same. My bandmate wasn't like sit and think of lyrics, she just set her camera and then fool around with guitar and words just following her emotions and the lyrics came out of nowhere then she was writing down all of it.

I have recorded many a song with a cheap guitar and mic you be surprised how good it can sound. What software do you use? I have used reaper and cubase over the years. If it's acoustic stuff I would maybe record the acoustic twice and pan it to left and right gives nice effect. Vocals would sit in the middle with a touch of compression and reverb.

 

The lyrics are sound the way they are in my opinion anyway

The Champion, to me thats the best way to write a song.. It's crazy how it comes out of nowhere, and the lyrics turn out to be better than if you had stopped to think of lyrics.

I'm using pro tools SE wich came along with my M-audio keyboard and audio interface.

I've used cubase before but I didn't like it very much, but maybe because it was some cracked pirate version hehehe..
