While I love the MX era I can't believe they left out some of Coldplay's most beautiful songs.

 

This feels like a list created by someone who didn't do their research. Either that or they just googled a few Coldplay songs and slapped it together.

 

So true! One could not have listened to Coldplay's whole body of work and chosen those top ten. Such a hatchet job!

So Princess of China is better than say... Viva la Vida? Ok.

 

My list goes a little something like:

 

10. Hurts Like Heaven

9. White Shadows

8. Don't Panic

7. Shiver

6. Amsterdam

5. Clocks

4. The Scientist

3. Yellow

2. Viva la Vida

1. Fix You

 

That list is the songs popularity combined with my personal liking for the song. :D

Considering I am expecting a new album and the start of a new tour in 2014 - neither of which happened in 2013 - I'd be pretty disappointed...

More like Top 10 Coldplay radio-friendly singles, what a crapsack. You can't put ETIAW and PoC above Charlie Brown and THE SCIENTIST which is practically a classic among fans, jegus why

There doesn't seem to be a reference in regard to what the "top 10" refers to. Is it that site's employees' cumulative personal favorites list? Is that what the site thinks were played the most? Purchased the most? The top 10 on the wall that had darts thrown on them?

 

Although it's not my favorite song, I agree with what was already mentioned that it doesn't make sense that VLV isn't on the list. Aside from Clocks, that's the Coldplay song that has permanently infiltrated into the mainstream via numerous "covers" as background music in commercials. It's everywhere.

Describing HLH as "Chris on the piano" --> not taking this seriously. Jonny MAKES that song.

The list was done by someone with very little interest in Coldplay. Makes you wonder what kind of people are employed to write this sort of rubbish!

 

It comes across as an ill-conceived high school research project!
