Can I use the Fix You VST on a Yamaha CLP-545 and have the sound coming out of the piano?

Can I use the Fix You VST on a Yamaha CLP-545 and have the sound coming out of the piano?

I want to buy a piano, a digital one, so I can plug it onto the computer and change the sounds, and play while I search for tutorials, but I also want to change the sounds of the piano to the Fix You Organ and the Clocks Piano, etc.

Does the Yamaha CLP-545 allow this?

Unfortunately, the answer is no. When you are using VSTs, you're turning your digital piano into a midi keyboard, so all of the inputs are registered on your computer, which is where the VST sound will be coming from. The best option would be to find a good set of headphones or a higher end stereo system that you can use with your computer to help surround you in the sound.

Thanks, is there any piano similar to the Clavinova that can do this?

You can easily do that by using the AUX IN input of the CLP-545.

CLP-545 MIDI OUT (or USB) >> PC MIDI IN >> VST host (program) >> Sound card STEREO OUT >> CLP-545 AUX IN.

Done.

The CLP-545 is a great piano btw.

May I ask where you got the Fix You VST and where I could possibly find it? Thanks!

Yeah I was gonna say if you have your keyboard--->Computer with VST---->then speakers---->speakers output to keyboard (if that is possible) that would work. Or just speakers be your keyboard speakers and put the computer on the side of our rig
