It's not that I don't like it. It's just that MTV (that's MUSIC television) always has The Osbournes or Jackass or Dirty Sanchez or Wildboyz or Newlyweds on, but never any music!

I used to like this show ... I had the first season on DVD. But the second season didn't do anything for me and now I'm somewhat tired of the Osborne media machine. Maybe it would help if I liked Ozzy's or Kelly's music or Sharon's TV show.

That Kelly/Ozzy number was chronic :stunned:

MTV is everything but music.

If MTV played videos I wouldn't watch it more than I do now. Videos aren't a significant part of my music intake.

Well it's fairly new here.

 

Reality TV is fine in moderation, but we get enough of it shoved down our throats on regular TV, we don't need it on MTV too.

 

When we first got MTV they would show concerts, unplugged gigs, interviews as well as videos - now it's hardly anything but reality shows and celebrity deathmatch re-runs!

I like some of the reality shoes on MTV. I like Real World and Road Rules, Real World/Road Rules Challenge, and some others. But I agree with you: moderation is the key, but lok at it from their point of view: What incentive do they really have to switch from their current format?

battle of the sexes was so good, and i thought the gauntlet was merely ok compared to it. the next one (inferno) looks interesting.

 

i dunno ... i don't want a lot of reality tv, but i find those shows entertaining.

but im addicted to survivor

my parents watched it one nite (african episodes)

and so i thought i'd watch it with them

the first few episodes are always crappy but they get alot better

anyway

im sick of all the bachelors and average joe type shows as well

i watched the first season of survivor and thought it was really interesting. i haven't watched since: i just didn't see where survivor could go from there.

 

do you really need to watch more than one season of survivor?

 

maybe people say the same thing about the real world.

yeah, i saw every episode of the RW-Paris, usually catching them on the weekends.

 

Mallory was cool, as was Ace. I liked CT; hated Leah. Simon was never around, and I thought Adam was pure comedy. Christina was just kind of there ... kind of lame, but nothing special.

 

I can't really say what my favorite Real World is, but I thought the whole Alton/Irulan thing during the Las Vegas year was really cool.

I didn't see what the big thing was about CT. He didn't really do anything to anybody ... it just seemed people got annoyed with him. I found Leah about 112x more annoying than CT.

 

Leah and CT both are on the next RW/RR challenge ... as are Ace and Mallory.

 

I'm looking forward to that.
