I wouldn't even call it a 'beard' at this point, just facial hair. I usually shave at the first sign of anything, but I didn't think to for a couple weeks, at which point i thought 'let's see where this goes...'

This is why beards are annoying, they look so shit until they properly grow in, I've never managed to let mine grow properly though, I got to about 3 weeks and I was actually getting insulted about it and I thought it looked shit so I just gave up.
