I've read parts of it, and we had to compare parts of it in R.E. etc. I tried reading some of it voluntarily, too. But I somehow ended up in the name section where it goes like:

Strangely enough, 1-2 years later, my R.E. teacher recommended that part of the Bible to people with sleeping problems. :D

I've read the bible- many times. I went to a catholic high school so it was pretty much shoved in our faces every chance they got. However, i don't remember half of the stories i read.

When I was a kid I was made to read the bible One chapter a day from start to finish.

 

This is something I am proud off and it does give you some insight on how to live. Meaning by saying that it helps to teach you what is right from wrong. However if and when I have kids this is something I will not make them do. However I will educate them as balanced as I can about different religions.

I've read bits and pieces but not nearly the whole thing.

I remember when I was in Grade 9, our teacher made us act out a bible story in front of the school. I forget which one we did.

For assembly in GCSE Religion I wanted to do two bible stories, one directly after the other one, because they both completely contradicted eachother.

 

I nearly got away with it too. My teacher was like "Thats an interesting idea" and when she looked up the stories she completely changed her mind.

It was. We were the first years and he wanted to embarrass us in front of the entire school. hahaha...it was pretty pathetic. I remember I refused to be part of it, so i got a detention for not showing my pride to be a catholic. :dozey:
