Rooting for means "cheering on". So she's cheering on "Chris Martin" on Masterchef, but it's not really Chris Martin :P

 

There's a contestant on the UK show Masterchef (a show where amatuer chefs compete to be crowned the er...master chef :P) and he looks very like our Mr. Martin so much so that people now refer to him as Chris Martin rather than Alex.
