Well! this band is not popular but it's a great progressive rock...very technical and all the musicians are form the conservatory from NY i think!!! if you like progressive rock and wanna know this music just tell me! i can give you some of their material!!!!!

Dream Theater is a great prog metal band. Their new album is so good. Train of Thought isn't too bad either. Images and Words is probably their best.

I had some songs on my computer,and Maria mentioned them earlier,so i gave em a spin,not bad.

Dream Theater are excellent. I'm more partial to their earlier albums (Images and Words, Awake, and Scenes From A Memory are great albums), but I pretty much like everything they've done.

 

The Dark Eternal Night is one of the greatest DT songs, IMO. :thumbsup:

hey... i'm also a DT fan! i even join DT fansclub in my country.

i like progressive rock better than i like british rock. :love:

 

if you like DT for their technicality, listen to Train of Thought. i don't listen much to their older albums, but they seem at better substance than the newer ones.

songs in Awake, Images and Words albums are less cheesy than, let's say, Systematic Chaos (the latest album) :thumbsup:

I hope their next album is as good as their older material. Systematic Chaos was ok, but it could have been better.

Dream Theater is my second favourite band after Coldplay. ^^
