Kurt Cobain - the 10th anniversary

Featured Replies

This is the thread to praise the man, the legand, the genius behind the rusty voice we all knew as Kurt Cobain

10 bloody years!

Blah, blah, blah, we've all seen that before and about a million 'KURT COBAIN WAS MURDERED.' websites.

I guess we'll never know what really happened... but whatever it was, Kurt Cobain was a genius (musically, anyway).

Both yes, and no. I wouldn't say he 'changed rock music forever,' because he certainly wasn't THAT great of a guitarist.

As far as I'm concerned, anyone who plays a guitar is a genius :P

Well, I do think Kurt had an impact... and Nirvana made a huge contribution to rock history.

And now we have the Foo Fighters with Dave, who is awesome on his own as well :D

....oh yeah, and Kurt was fucking gorgeous.

I was looking for his pictures on google two nights ago to use on my site's new layout and half of the pictures I found were of his body with his head fucking blown off.

That was fucking creepy.

Anyway... more pictures to make this thread beautiful :smug:

*raises hand* Big Nirvana fan here. Yesterday they played the Unplugged performance and it still gives me shivers. Kurt was a talented and beautiful man and he is sorely missed.

You're giving it to me as my birthday pressent, right? :wink3:

He only copied Killing Joke !

Yes... When I'm the president of the United States of America.

I bet he is really angry that everyone is reading his diary.

I was 12 when he killed himself, or he was killed whatever...when it happened, so at the time, it didnt really affect me. I wasnt really into that kind of music at the time.

I was about 8-9 years old at the time. I knew of them, well the only think I knew was that my big sister loved his music and she was crying on the day.

Deal!

I've been watching the programes about Nirvana on MTV2 and VH2.

It's nice seeing all the videos again and the Unplugged perfomance.

Kurt was a talented man.

I cried when Elliott Smith died, I was/am a very big fan of his.

The death of Jeff Buckley, I was also late for... I knew who he was, but wasnt really into his music at the time either.
