I've busked before, but it was highly, highly illegal.

Just do it illegally. No one knows or cares (at least here in Canada)

Best guess is a permit, probably an annual thing or bi annual..like tax stuff...contact your local county council, they'd probably be able to direct you..also there are probably spots where you can busk and places you can't...they'll tell you them too.

Here in Barcelona, the council has an special thing about that, and in the underground there's specific places where people do it with free permission.

aahhhh! Well at leats here, you do not need a permission for that.... unless you are working for the mayor.... like the building where the mayor works, and it runs the towns...... that thing, well If you are wrokign for the, you do need a paper..... but anyway, not much of a help!
