It's amazing how music can make you feel sometimes.

I was just sitting here, surfing around the boards, posting here and there, when I suddenly realized how quiet it was. Unbeleivably quiet. And I also realized that I was extremely warm and thirsty, and I felt really really dry. So I go and grab a glass of water, drain it, and I'm still thirsty. How annoying. Then I decide to try and deal with the quiet. I go into my folder of music files that a friend of mine sent me before, and look at some of the stuff I've got there...And then I see this song that I haven't listened to in a while. I open it up...

Soon as it starts, I just got this WOW feeling, like I'd just dove into this deep, cool body of water. It was great!

Music is so amazing, in the way that it moves people sometimes.

i'm a huge fan of music..and i always like listening to it...but i know what you mean, sometimes it has an undescribable feeling.

or, maybe you can describe it as WOW ;) :D What song was it?

Reindeer Section's song You Are My Joy. It's a really great song :nice:

hmmm, never even heard of them...What type of music is it..

  • Author

It's the same sorta style that Coldplay & Snow Patrol would fall under. In fact, the lead singer of Snow Patrol does the vocals for Reindeer Section as well...They're a pretty good band

i'm pretty amazed i've not heard of them...AMAZED!

can you recommend any certain album?

..or tracks to download

  • Author

Find that one! Definatly. In fact I recommend the whole album, titled Son of Evil Reindeer.

Yeah, it's a bit odd. But it seems that alot of the bands with an odd name or odd album names are good bands...

i'll make sure i find some way of listening to them..Cheers

Yes, it is amazing. I've been almost moved to tears before from certain sad pieces of music... Well, ok, have before.

Happens to me any time that I'm just a little sensitive.

No offense or anything, but Disturbed is not at all the type of music to move someone to tears.

well one song does almost....besides what would you know about how it makes me feel?? nothing at all. maybe i'm not you :D

Alice In Chains is the number one band to make you feel angry.

And listening to Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness by the Pumpkins makes you feel exactly the way the cd title suggests.

Sounds depressing...*adds to list of music to try and avoid* :( :/

AIC is good....but not when you're sad. well not for me. but then i know people who listen to AIC when they're sad and it makes them feel better because they can identify with the feelings expressed in the music....i guess it just depends on who you are

ye. grunge is the number one music to piss you off. haha

well for you maybe....i like it myself, though i prefer my metal to most everything....there are a few exceptions of course, but mostly thats what i listen to

when i think of grunge music, i think of musicians who aren't really THAT good...but can play Power chords. i don't like its simplicity

i'm yet to be proved wrong, although, i'm willing to be proved wrong

well one song does almost....besides what would you know about how it makes me feel?? nothing at all. maybe i'm not you :D

Disturbed/most metal makes me either one of these: Feeling angry or wanting to punch someone, or, just plain (wanting to) turning the cd player off.

:P :P :D

I dont know what Jacobs talking about, but Mellon Collie is quite an uplifting album in my opinion. Even many of the sad songs leave an uplifting ending.

But Stumbleine and the break into the chorus of Galapogos, that chokes me up.

you think that Mellon Collie and THE INFINITE SADNESS is an uplifting album?
