+ The bridge with the guitar parts is the only part that is well done. - Poor rhymes and lyrics, generic instrumentation, and the melody somewhat falls flat next to all the outstanding ones on this album. In my opinion it hould have been replaced by Gravity or Things I Don't Understand on the album. Proof

As to the Stargate discussion: Remember that the sound of AHFOD, if it turns out to be sugary-poppy, is not Stargate's fault. Stargate cater to a pop crowd and sound and everyone knows that. Coldplay hired them with a purpose. It was Coldplay's (probably at least Chris Martin's) decision to do that and it was a very conscious one. As The Adversary stated before, it is Coldplay who want that sound, not Stargate forcing it upon Coldplay. Sometimes I get kinda angry because I feel Coldplay has clearly sold its soul. But that's as far as I'll comment here, don't wanna provoke the well-known Oldplay vs. newplay battle again.

When i started this thread, i was still thinking about going to a Coldplay concert but the more I think the more I believe it won't make sense for an Oldplayer like me to go to the AHFOD tour, only to hear 60%AHFOD and the rest VLV Paradise ASFOS Clocks. I was simply born too late, the AROBTTH, Twisted Logic or Viva Tour should it have been for me. It was then that they played the songs that I love and that they were the band I could identify with.

Interesting story - for once it was not actually one of the superhits that drew somebody in, but LiTii ! Cool !:D

I think, that (unfortunately), you're absolutely right about that. :( I'd love to hear them make an album about memories, nostalgia and missed choices (cursed missed opportunities ;)) once, but I think they are too positive for even that. Maybe in the far, far future.
