Talking about the "dream producer", imho it's better to collab with somebody new instead of calling the same people again, but they have to choose very well. I read the names you wrote in this thread and I completely dislike people like Madeon and Ryan Tedder, they're too far into mainstream electropop music, and that's not the kind of music I want from Coldplay. I would really like Anthony Gonzalez (M83) instead, he could be particularly fitting for them. But if I had to say my dream producer, I think that the best producer on earth at the moment is RΠЯ (Keep Shelly In Athens) because of his incredible personal and really modern touch on dreampop and chillwave music. Another idea could be making an album with only Jon Hopkins as a producer, I'd be very curious about that. And the last idea, the most intriguing imho, is the band autoproducing themselves, I think that Guy is ready for this.

I didn't explain well what I wanted to say. I think that during VLV era there were some songs that felt quite like a transition into something very different from X&Y and that are more "soul connected" with MX. I think of extreme poppiness and grandeur of Viva La Vida, the hip hop/R&B influenced Lost (especially Lost+ feat. Jay-Z), the use of synths in LiT ii, the unuseful ooohs of the Osaka Sun Mix of LIJ. All of this was cleverly hidden into the greatness of the songs, the imaginery and the concept that made VLVODAAHF one of the best albums ever imho, but I remember that a few careful listeners at that time said that they were worried of what would have come after that era (and they were sadly right)

All I know is that it will be around 25-30 minutes long and that there will be some little hint of what LP8 will be

Nothing new I fear, but I don't think he's stuck at the moment. Ambient music has always been one of my favourite genres, I listened a lot to Vangelis music when I was a child and this is one of the many reasons why I appreciate artists like Jon Hopkins

I really hope with all my heart this good song means they're gonna come back with new music soon. I need to attend a concert, I've waited that for 10 years

Jon Hopkins's got an incredible discography and Contact Note it's not an exception. Said that, my favourite JH album is Opalescent, I like its soft atmospheres and beautiful melodies :)

No, it didn't, but I liked it. Nothing exceptional but I think it's good. I thought that with a classic acoustic style like the new version it could've had an Oldplay feeling, but it hasn't. I fear it's my fault, I got too distant from them

Just wanna make a question: what do you think about the single version of Everglow? I don't know, I feel quite strange about it: it hasn't got anything clearly wrong in the production or in the music, but there's something missing, it doesn't get me emotional.
