1. I shall also post the text of the lyrics here (since you may not be able to read my handwriting. That's coming shortly.
2. Okay. I'm using this forum, and this post to reveal an album I have been working on. It is inspired by Coldplay, thus I felt it appropriate to share it here. In Coldplay terms, this album is meant as a combination of many of Coldplay's album styles (X&Y, Ghost Stories, Viva and A Head full of Dreams predominantly). The album is three parts and directly correlate to three events in my life, and probably most others. The album is a "love, breakup, recovery and love again" album called Your Love Means Everything (Yes, I am aware that Coldplay has worked on a song of the same name, that song is inspiration for this album and is what it is about). Lyrically, it is supposed to signify the deep feelings of the euphoria one gets in his/her first relationship, and the subsequent devastation after it ends. But, on a good note, love is found that is more down-to-earth, more natural, more obtainable and real. Essentially, it is a love album, but it isn't just about one person. It's about the past, respecting it and how the past has gotten you to the love you have now. Here is the tracklist (with Coldplay songs as guides for how the song will generally sound. Again, more the approach I'm taking with them and not exactly how they will sound. I'm not looking to copy Coldplay (with one bold exception, as you'll see below) 1. Life (A spoken word poem similar to Kaleidoscope, but it is a poem I have written. Piano music I have written would accompany the speech) 2. Luna (This song is similar to Talk, with an airy synth and spacey guitar) 3. Walks (This one is stylistically similar to Square One, some synth, guitars and background keyboard) 4. Famous Old Painters (Yes, I have styled Coldplay's technically unreleased instrumental with lyrics) 5. The River (This one would be styled after Coldplay's song AROBTTH, especially the quieter parts of the song, this song features a male/female duet) 6. Going Mad (Very synthesized song with a piano interlude that Coldplay fans could relate to Midnight/YLME) 7. Galaxy (Don't Let Go) (This song is stylized after O(Fly On); it is a piano ballad, with some Viva-era guitars toward the end of Galaxy, Don't Let Go is a simplistic piano ballad, it doesn't feature synthesized voice like on O) 8. Don't Let Go (Part 2) (Don't Let Go piano melody, but with different lyrics) 9. See You Later (Not to be confused with See You Soon, this song is more stylistically similar to Everglow than See You Soon) (You can tell by now that I love the piano) 10. The River Flows On (Lyrically meant to be a "sequel" to The River, musically it is stylistically similar to I Wish I Was Here and crescendos at the end on a more positive note) 11. Summer Rains (Meant to be similar to Don't Panic, stylistically and in meaning) 12. Yet So Close (This song is meant to be stylistically similar to Up With The Birds, with the style of the first half of UWTB and the style of the second half switching, until finally the end of the song is like an enhanced even more euphoric second half of UWTB). 13. Falling Asleep On The Chair (I'm seeing this song as stylistically similar to the last minute and a half of How You See The World) 14. Heartbeat (More synth heavy than the previous songs (featuring a sort of heartbeat synth track, Birds-esque track, with less muted vocals than Birds) (Maybe like Lovers In Japan?) 15. Memories (Reign of Love-esque style, also more stylistically upbeat) 16. Shot For The Moon (Fun-esque style, but with more acoustics than in Fun) 17. I Love You (Amazing Day-esque sound, crescendoing into an Up&Up-esque ending) Singles are: Walks, Galaxy (Don't Let Go) and Shot For The Moon There is a B-Side to Walks called Steps, Galaxy has a B-Side called Home, and Shot For The Moon has a B-Side called Reflection of the Stars. In terms of the album art and style, outer space (the stars especially), and water are especially featured. I have attached a sample album art to the first page of the PDF that I will attach here. As Coldplay did with Ghost Stories, I have handwritten lyrics with doodles to accompany them. That is in the PDF. I have been working on this project for the past few years, and I must admit it's not 100% complete but it's been a pleasure and I wanted to share this. I'll update this post when I have the actual songs completed as well. In the mean time, enjoy the lyric release of Your Love Means Everything (as this forum would call it "my customized Coldplay album").
3. Imagine if Rice-Oxley joined Coldplay O.O That would have been great in my opinion, as I love Keane, but I have to wonder how different Coldplay would be with him.
4. I promptly bought your two albums and EP, you guys have brilliant work and I would not be surprised in the least if you were to be discovered and became one of the greatest artists of the decade. Cheers, guys. Thank you for such great and powerful music.
5. I gotta ask, O(Fly On) was my favorite from Ghost Stories (and one of my favorites from Coldplay in general), what do you think of it? Do you like it? Does it seem more "oldplay"? than the rest of the album?
6. I'm gonna go at this pretty much at a different angle as everyone else. X&Y was, to me their masterpiece. Before you start a riot, let me explain. It is the album with the most songs that have been, at some point in my life, my favorite song. To me, the album is a collection of masterpieces. A museum, not a piece of art. However, if we are to look at the whole album as a cohesive whole and judging it as the sum of its parts, I would say Viva. AROBTTH is a beautiful album but I don't think it incorporates such intricate concepts so cohesively in every way that Viva does.
7. With that logic in mind, I'm sure, then, that you liked Up&Up live better (which I would say I liked better in my opinion).
8. I know I know, I get what he's saying but it still irks me.
9. Guys! I found the X!
10. Can someone paint an X on a trash can and post on the forums please.
11. They'd love it too. It's a great album regardless of what you think of the previous albums. I happen to love all 7 albums (with some favorites of course).
12. I disagree. Midnight was a track that sounded like Coldplay COULD have made. It IS a good Coldplay track, albeit different than usual Coldplay. This track is also different but XMTS does not sound like Coldplay and quite frankly I will refuse to believe that the same band that made A Rush Of Blood To The Head, made that awful awful awful track. Like another member said, if an interlude is better than a full-length track, there's an issue. In my opinion Coldplay had two interludes on the album (Kaleidoscope and Colour Spectrum), and I think both of them were miles above XMTS.
13. This is difficult oh my gosh. 1. Up&Up (Live) (Absolutely stunning version of this song, disappointed the Studio version didn't sound like this, best song Coldplay has had in a while IMO, 10/10) 1. Everglow (Liked it when I heard it on Beats 1, love it evermore now, 10/10) 2. Army Of One (One of the better ones lyrically IMO, sounds great over all, 10/10) 2. Fun (Chris and Tove Lo match beautifully in this one, 10/10) 3. Birds (The metaphor of birds has never let them down, 9.5/10 4. Kaleidoscope (Love the poem and the track, wish it was longer and expanded, 9/10) 5. AHFOD (catchy and memorable, 9/10) 6. Amazing Day (Liked this song live, like the studio version even better, solid song 9/10) 7. Colour Spectrum (Not as good as Kaleidoscope, but still a good interlude (8/10) 8. Up&Up (Studio) (Disappointed, had my hopes up because of the live version (7/10) (though I'm glad to see the return of his kids and their drown out voices at the end). Exactly how O (Fly On) ended and that was a beautiful track. 9. AOAL (7/10) (I'm not too keen on this single, it's a very upbeat song and I do like that, I feel it'll take some time for it to grow on me) 10. Hymn For The Weekend (PDC-- Pretty Damn Catchy. It's a good one but lyrically faulty for Chris ("drunk and high", really Chris? You wrote AROBTTH!) and doesn't sound like Coldplay really (7/10) 11. X Marks The Spot (IMO absolutely the worst Coldplay song made, with the very possible exception of A Sky Full of Stars, very much the same reasons. Just like Coldplay is not an EDM band, it's not a hip-hop one either, they went too far out of their zone for both of those songs. A Whisper is not good either, however that's different IMO since it at least stayed within their sound, 2/10) For fun, the albums 1. AROBTTH (Who doesn't love the song of the same name) 2. X&Y (many disagree, but this one of their better ones, along with its many b-sides, extra songs) 3. Viva La Vida (Viva was amazing, definitely should be top 3, best one of this decade) 4. AHFOD (Best album post-Viva) 5. Parachutes (good album, and some favorites come from it, Sparks, Trouble, Yellow, Don't Panic) 6. Mylo Xyloto (Over-produced with some gems in it, Up With The Birds, Us Against The World, Up In Flames) (Moving to Mars on the ETIAW EP) 7. Ghost Stories (although one of my all-time favorite CP songs, O (Fly On) comes from this album, the rest of it is Meh.) Prospekt's March is probably in between Viva and AHFOD.

Thank you for this!
15. I like this short interlude, just as I like Kaleidoscope. Short and sweet and I love it.
16. I just have to say this. Never in my life, has any song or cover nonetheless that I have ever ever listened to move me to tears like yours did. This has to be the most beautiful cover of any song ever. Ever. I am visibly shaken after watching it. I cried because of its message, it's meaning, it's beauty and its everything. You sir deserve to be discovered and made one of the biggest artists on the planet. Most times, I don't click on covers but the comments here seemed to be telling me to. I was just gonna post my review on the song in general, but now I'm posting my review on your cover instead. You did what Coldplay hasn't done in years. They make great music, sure, meaningful music sure, and very profound music. But I've never thought I could say this about any artist, you have just bested Coldplay. You topped them with this cover. You did Coldplay better than Coldplay did Coldplay with this song. Your version sounds better than theirs. For that you absolutely get a round of applause. I was clapping in my room after this was over. I sure as hell hope I get to hear more from you, hopefully as a well-known professional in the music industry. Million stars out of 5.
17. Wish I could see it, the attachments arent working
18. Do kinda wish I could hear Obama more on this track but even that clip adds to the song.
19. Absolutely absolutely beautiful. I love the poem and I love that Coldplay used it. As someone has already said, it provides a wonderful breather. The instrumentals and production is amazing, I wish it was longer with more poetry and such but considering its on one of Coldplay's better albums (and certainly the best in years) that's okay.

I've never learn of Tove Lo before, but she certainly contributed to the track beautifully. Kudos to Coldplay here.

I just gotta say, I was worried for this track based on the name. But honestly, never judge a book by its cover and now I've learned to never judge a song by its name. This is easily one of the best on the album, and personally one of the best overall songs from them. It was one of the songs I liked right away. No growing required. I know I've heard the way he sings the lyrics before. Probably another artist, but either way I love it.
22. A great song, but not that memorable. Won't go down as a great but it does go great right after Everglow, which itself is a great song. It's grown on me since it first was released and it matches beautifully with the album.
23. appleguyjoe replied to Coeurli's topic in Everglow
I love this song and it certainly is one of the best on the album and one of the best they've made in a while (then again, this album is better than MX and GS) (don't get me wrong, I love many songs from both those albums). I'm slightly disappointed that I couldn't hear Paltrow as much as thought we were going to hear, but I do like her 'tuned parts throughout the song and you can faintly hear her on a few lines. All in all, a great song.
24. "I think you're so cool" Cheap and unfitting ending line to what is one of Coldplay's best songs in awhile. I love this song and just gotta say that the Birds metaphor has not let them down yet. Every song mentioning them has been amazing, (for reference see, Up With The Birds, Birds, O(Fly On), which are three of the most beautiful Coldplay songs ever).
