Gosh...it’s been an absolutely increible era. My first Coldplay shows (three of them this era, LA2016, LA2017, SD2017), and the second era I’ve seen beginning to end, it’s been quite the journey. This band and it’s songs have changed the person I am. I hope this continues with LP8 and the next few years of anticipation (and hopefully some random bonus tracks here and there). I don’t think this is the end, as some music reporters have said/wanted it to be. This is truly “a next chapter”.

This song genuinely surprised me. It's a great song, great lyrics, and Big Sean's part actually fits pretty well. I was hopeful about it despite a rap artist being on it because of Lost+ and I was not disappointed.

I posted a little about this song earlier but I've been listening to it on repeat and this song is heaven. This has jumped to being one of my absolute favorite songs period. Not just from Coldplay, I'm talking period. It's beautiful, emotional and while lyrically thinking worldly, it is also relatable personally too. This is quite a stunning release, this EP. I can't quite make out the Miracles (Someone Special) lyrics and song through the live version, I shall wait until the studio version is released to discuss it, but this is, in my humble opinion, Coldplay's best EP. Yes, Prospekt's March brought us a few favorites, including the song with the same name (which remains on my top list of songs), but this release with Hypnotized, AICTAIY, and this song, is one of their best of all time.

So I'm like stupid but um, how does that app work again? Sources have said it uses the microphone on your phone to listen in on when Hypnotized is playing but I checked and see if the app uses the microphone in settings and it absolutely doesn't use the microphone. Sooooo do I just try and play them at the same time as much as possible or??

I'm hoping Big Sean's involvement will be nothing more than say, Jay-Z on Lost+. I actually liked his addition to Lost and I'm hoping it's something along those lines. It's gonna be at least somewhat different than the current Miracles, and I don't think it'll be a + of Miracles, but at the same time, I'm hoping BS' involvement is limited. We'll see. How does the Tokyo live version of SJLT sound?

I agree with I Ran Away. It's a great song, but not quite to the levels of Hypnotized for me. Although, it'll take a lot for them to have a song that reaches beyond Hypnotized for me personally. It's one of my favorite songs of theirs recently.

I can see somewhat the resemblance but I'm telling you there's a song out there where the intro to CSC is the same or extremely similar to this song I'm thinking of. I swear I've heard almost the exact same sound, and I think it is from a FF song. I'll keep checking haha I must affirm that I'm not crazy :p

Speaking of Chinese Sleep Chant, this little thing has been driving me crazy. I love the song (didn't realize it was separate from Yes until now though lol) BUT, I swear I've heard that beginning guitar riff in another song, maybe a Foo Fighters song? Idk but it sounds so freaking familiar. Anyone know what I'm talking about or am I crazy?

I wouldn't mind seeing an "acoustic" version of this song, that is, this song done all Coldplay's way. I mean, that's just wishful thinking. But hey, if anyone knows how to edit this song to tone down the EDM, that'd be great.

I think it should be stated first and foremost that I am not a fan of the Chainsmokers. At all. Not as so-called "musicians", not as people. This kind of "music" isn't something Coldplay itself should be striving towards. That being said, as many have remarked, this isn't a Coldplay song. This is a Chainsmokers song, and while I'm disappointed in Coldplay for doing the collab, I think it just goes to show the power of Coldplay. This is probably the only somewhat good Chainsmokers song out there, simply because of Chris' voice and Jonny's guitar. It does help the sound tremendously, even as much as it sounds like the typical bland EDM beat and sound. This is not a direction I hope our boys turn to in KEP, but the good old days of Oldplay are over, the band has still made great songs after that, and they will continue to. This song will be popular in my headphones for a little while, then I won't listen to it for awhile. It's somewhat catchy, but as with most EDM, boring and doesn't capture the imagination. Coldplay, both old and new, can still do that and I have no doubts they will continue to on KEP. As long as this is the last of this kind of stuff, we're good.

The band said they played for about a year before the singer suffered an accident and they went on a 6 month hiatus. They had their first show back at my campus the other day. It was pretty great and brought me back to the actual Coldplay concert at the Rose Bowl back in August 2016. They're an American SoCal band.

When a Coldplay cover band is playing at your college for free and you're A. Listening to Coldplay while in line, B. The first in line and C. The loudest audience member in the audience, singing and clapping and moving along to the songs, even while you're low key wishing it was Chris Martin's voice singing up there instead (but also impressed by the instrumentals of the cover band...singer wasn't bad either, just not Chris). Any of you guys heard of Coldplayed?
