  1. Count in dream theater here, probably the best heavy band out there. If you like very long complex epi music that's heavy with not a lot of screaming these guys are for you
  2. I absolutely despise it when people hate on The Fray for absolutely no reason, even Coldplay fans here do when they make almost the same kind of music as the band we all love, Coldplay Only albums I could see people on here not liking is Helios and maybe scars and stories
  3. Sorry I forgot to enter one for this.. Dream Theater Ohhhh Myyyy Goddd Whyyyyyy Doessss Everyone's Hateeeeee Theeeeee Frayyyyyyyyyyyyy
  4. K sorry can someone send me a link to this new song I haven't been on this site much recently sounds exciting though

"Coming soon" Still don't see it lol
  7. Everyone. Listen to these guys. Now. Too sad bands like these end up being forgotten. They make some of the best music out there and I can't believe more people don't know about them. If you like generally heavy music focused on more of an extremely epic vibe, with lots of complexity,, and without a ton of unnecessary screaming, these guys are for you.
  8. One of the greatest songs ever written in history. A classic that will be remembered for years to come.
  9. Who's up for reviving this thread? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giOxemhjFv8 Mobile Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giOxemhjFv8 You thought The Chainsmokers are bad? This guy makes them look incredible. Great melody, talent, emotion, and creativity are on the "Not Included" list for DJ Khaled. Instead, he strives to make bland, generic, repetitive, and polished trap-pop smash hits ft. extremely overused chord progressions ft. unchanging synth lines and beats that are probably presets ft. a few rap artists, all of which can't sing resulting in heavily autotuned robot mumble vocals in the song ft. at least one pop artist ft. the same lyrics over and over again ft. oohahohaohahoaohas. Did I forget to mention at the beginning he yells "We the best musiccccc.... DJ Khhallleed!!" In another song he has he even does it again, right in the middle of the song! Just for the people listening to the radio all the time who's attention span doesn't even last a single beat so they can actually appreciate the song, but then will forget about it as quickly as they forgot his name the first time around.. Literally, no one has ever done that, and everyone's made better songs, yet this guy thinks "We the best music" for making a backing track a 5 year old can do with minimal knowledge, It seems like in music, the more you act that way and the more features you have on your song, the worse the music is. Interesting. If this is the future of music, I have no hope. Please, let the next Nirvana come soon and completely change the sound of music again from this chopped up overproduced pop sound that's popular today.... Note: I laughed reading through this thread and seeing decent artists like Avril Lavigne, Nickelback, and James Blunt being mentioned. Bet they're looking back on them thinking "Don't see music like this anymore unfortunately..."
  10. I heard you wanted something a bit different today...
  11. AROBTTH is my second favorite album of all time, and of Coldplay. Just about every song from this era is fantastic, my personal favs being Politik, The Scientist, Warning Sign, AROBTTH, Amsterdam, and I Ran Away. Those songs are the very very top of the line for me, all 5 stars, and to have this many great songs from one era is very rare for me. I mean, I like a lot of songs, but you know, there's all the ones you like, but then there's the ones that are totally special, and this era has quite a few of those songs. It takes incredible talent to be able to be this consistent in one era. So many of the songs they got just right, a great melody, lots of emotion, etc... These types of songs are the ones I like the most. Not many bands have what it takes to make an album quite like this. I think, this album is perfect for listening to on a cloudy or even rainy autumn day sometime in the late afternoon. I tend to find the color of the album cover affects when the best time to listen to an album is for some reason, so this makes the songs more or less feel like cloudy day songs to me. So many of the songs are fitting for if I'm in a sad mood, and yes there's a few happy songs from this era too but the emotion and melodies in this one are what I think shines. During the 2000's there was a lot of songs like that, these really emotional melodic alt rock songs with just enough of a pop flavor. Those tend to be the kinds of songs I listen to the most, and in general the more emotional a song the less I'll listen to it but the more I'll like it because it gets more special to me over time, and I want to keep it that way. It's too sad that music like this isn't made nowadays, or at least not in the mainstream and not as good as it once was. IMO the '90s and 2000s are my favorite eras of music for this reason, because of music like on this album that's melodic and emotional, and really makes me feel something. For me, this'll be one of the best albums ever made in the history of music as far as I can see. It's timeless, and I'll like it 50 years from now as much as I do now. Good one Coldplay.
  12. Replies are rather long so I'll save scrolling time...
  13. Thankfully, your edit fixes that. It really brings the album up a few notches for me, and goes to show what some extra work and even just tweaks on something can do.
  14. Yayyyy 3 in a row #1 Hypnotised and second as well :D
  15. I think all eras of Coldplay are cool and unique in their own way. I can't hear a lot of real boundaries being pushed in the AHFOD album, but there is Kaleidoscope (the song and the EP), and Colour Spectrum.
  16. 1. Hypnotised 2. A L I E N S 3. Something Just Like This Tied for 4. Miracles (Someone Special) and AICTAIY. Can't really decide yet, especially since the studio for the former isn't out yet...
  17. I think that A L I E N S might only be partially new, because from what I can hear in that 2009 Coldplay documentery (you can hear the snippet in this video), it sounds less electronic, so maybe it was a work in progress at the time, abandoned till now. I thought I also remember hearing that all of the songs were brand new tracks recorded after AHFOD's release... Supposedly including A L I E N S, so it was apparently not completely true.
  18. Politik [30] In My Place [17] The Scientist [20] Clocks [10] Green Eyes [10] (2) Warning Sign [18] (1) A Rush Of Blood To The Head [32]
  19. The first post, I was so surprised because there wasn't any upvotes although it clearly deserved some. Then I seen the second post and was like, oh I see... I've done it before too lol, don't worry
  20. Woah, whattttttttt How's that supposed to work? I've never heard of that opinion before... Moving to Mars has that same Viva/Mylo feel too. And I think that one of the reasons why Mylo stands out so much to me is of the enoxification, I really like the style of pop rock it has on it's own but with this "enoxification" that I can definitely pick out it sounds even better. So if anything, he only improved what that album would have been anyway. AHFOD is pretty much Mylo with a terrible producer, and that's why we got what we got. (again, not hating on AHFOD cause I do like it, but it can't compare to Mylo in any way IMO...) I agree. And I know none of you are going to get what I'm saying (biased Mylo fan) but I'd say the same for Mylo, even though a lot of you might think it's standard pop rock for the most part, if you compare it to mainstream from that time (which I like as well) there's something different about it. Especially in the interludes and with certain songs. I overall think they really explored different synths and sounds in that album, and especially if you listen to the instrumentals you can hear some of what I'm talking about. I'd go as far as to say there's a decent ambient influence on the album (Brian Eno), but not in the really downtempo way, you know? (Except for UiF. Listening closely, you can hear quite a few interesting things going on...) There's a lot of really dense, streched out noises and I think they tried to combine this with an upbeat pop rock sound to get a super energetic vibe. So I don't really think Mylo is as untalented and lame as some of us think. Just my opinion on all this.
  21. double post :/ But fantastic thoughts! Lol we have all the studio versions except 1 song anyway, and that bit in Hypnotised that we still don't know (which might be the reason why...) But why'd they delay it just two days? Doesn't make any sense. Kinda sucks cause the 14th is the day I'm leaving for vacation and it would have lined up perfectly... ugh
  22. Politik [30] In My Place [19] The Scientist [20] Clocks [9] Green Eyes [12] (2) Warning Sign [17] (1) A Rush Of Blood To The Head [32]
  23. It'd be interesting, though, if they put a snippet of a song that was kind of faded or something that they might consider for next LP. Somehow blurred back a bit. Very unlikely considering they're likely taking a (well deserved) hiatus after all of the tour dates are over (crazy to think they're still touring all this time after they've released the album, and yes there was a break but still...) Might just be that the song is extended though.
  24. Square One [22] What If [6] (1) White Shadows [19] Fix You [21] Talk [18] (2) Speed Of Sound [22] A Message [21] Low [23] The Hardest Part [19] Swallowed in the Sea [16] Twisted Logic [11]
