I don't like it when... [Music]
I don't like it when mainstream music was amazing in 2012 and then within 3 years turned into total crap. Other thoughts: Let's bring this thread back!

Describe your day with a song
I'm going to give you the love you deserve. Why did this thread go completely ignored for 5 years?!! That's completely unfair. BTW look at your messages to likes recieved... how is that possible?!! Did you spam all over the place?! :P Must be a glitch. Same artist from "A Thousand Miles". Another wonderous example of a pop song. I miss days when pop was actually good... :( And I am in a way talking about the time when this song was released, but then again not so as I was nowhere near old enough to think deeply about this stuff :D

5-10-15-20
Let's start this thread up again. 5: I played Rock Band 2 a lot on drums. I was into hard rock/heavy metal that kinda thing. Like Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, etc. I liked some of not as hard stuff like Nirvana as well since a lot of that was on there. I was not into soft music atttt all (since I wanted songs to be challenging to play lol). I did like Adams Song and Viva la Vida I guess, so I did appreciate some slow songs if I didn't have to play them on Rock Band 2 :P 10: A little bit of the stuff I was interested in before, but I was one of those kids listening to the radio all the time, not paying too much attention to anything else... I was more familiar with pop music at this time, but still like those old school kinda songs. Started to take a liking to slower songs as well. I'm not even 15 yet so I can't say the rest yet... the real story begins when I really got into getting my own music around a year and a half ago. :D

What are your Favorite musician bands or artists After Coldplay?
I'm surprised you actually like Coldplay with the heaviness of some of the bands you mentioned. Great to see people with different musical tastes here though! :) EDIT: I'm not saying I don't like those band's music. I do like some of their songs! Just that most fans of those tend to think of Coldplay as whiny and lame, so I'm surprised you don't fall into that ignorant category of fans, so in fact I'm actually complimenting you! :)

what song is stuck in your head now
I was thinking of making a thread dedicated to this, good job I didn't and chose to browse the old Coldplaying stuff first! :D (I guess it would have told me this existed anyways :D) Celine Dion - My Heart Will Go On

The last record you bought/downloaded
Last time I posted here it was Kid A. Oh how time flies... around 3 months ago, Jon Hopkins' Immunity. Good album, minimalist techno sort of experimental thing. Probably my least favorite from him so far not including the soundtracks, but it's still good, that goes to show what a genius this guy is :) BTW let's revive this thread! Would be interested to hear what all the new people on this board like (and the people who've been around here for a while now and what they're recently digging....)

A-Z of Albums...
Opalescent - Jon Hopkins. Perhaps one of the best chill albums of all time. It really isn't even electronic, yes part of it is formed with electronic elements but you consistently find acoustic/electric guitars in it. There's background synths and electronic drumbeats but it's not overtly electronic like Immunity. I find it funny that those effects and stuff were most likely actually electronically generated although felt completely organic, yet Immunity has that kind of "obvious" electronic vibe to it even though he did stuff with normal everyday objects to form the record :D Of course it doesn't feel completely electronic, just an organic electronic that feels more electronic then organic, Opalescent, which was prob more electronic... oh well, I'm getting twisted up in my words here, you all know what I mean, this isn't supposed to be an album review thread anyways
