Talk. Clocks are a way of displaying time. One of the lyrics in Talk mentions an uncertainty of where he'll be in some time, in the future (In the future, where will I be?)

Random Coldplay thoughts...
Cue emotional music (in my case "My Heart Will Go On"). Memories from the month of August are flooding me right now. It feels as if this post is almost for me as this struck me the second I seen this. I'm tearing up. I love them so much. <3 It's been a month since I've learned of the second one passing away... how time flies. I will forever love them and won't ever forget the times I had with them... even if I never got to see one of them with my own eyes. Kisses to them forever... now they are free in heaven with the ones they loved who passed away. Sounds like a great thing, and I am now happy for them for that.

What are your Favorite musician bands or artists After Coldplay?
Alright, it's been a while since I've been on here. Gonna update my list and revive the thread all at once. Here's the artists (not including Coldplay ofc :P) that I currently for sure like, in no particular order.: Radiohead The Fray Adele DIIV Hedley (super popular in Canada, virtually unknown everywhere else, that's why you've never heard of them most likely) Jon Hopkins Seaside (search up "Seaside - Today" on YouTube, that's how I came to discover this unique and virtually unknown artist!) U2 Here's the artists I think I'll get at least a fair bit of content from in the future, based off of a few songs I already have from them, or just since I do think I might like their style of music based on comparisons with artists I already like but actually either haven't checked them out or don't have anything from them yet: 3 Doors Down A Great Big World A Silent Film Alice in Chains Aphex Twin Avicii (not including True Believer :D) Avril Lavigne Blink-182 Brian Eno Bruno Mars Cat Power Celine Dion Clean Bandit Counting Crows Creed Ed Sheeran Eleven Past One Ellie Goulding Eric Clapton Evanescence Faith Hill Faultline Finger Eleven Five For Fighting Foo Fighters Green Day Greg Haines Guns N' Roses Hinder Jane's Addiction Justin Timberlake Katy Perry Kelly Clarkson Kings of Leon Linkin Park Live M83 Marconi Union Matchbox 20 Michelle Branch (my parents tell me when I was young I was so obsessed with her they could move me all around and I would just stay frozen :D) Natalie Merchant Nickelback Nirvana Oasis Our Lady Peace P!nk Paramore Pearl Jam Red Hot Chili Peppers Rihanna Sia Simple Plan Staind Stone Temple Pilots Taylor Swift (Mainly Her Older Stuff!!!!! :D) The Killers The Offspring The Script The Smashing Pumpkins Tove Lo Train (I've listened to Drops Of Jupiter once, the album, DOJ was still a standout to me, the others were good but DOJ blew them all away.) Tyler Shaw Vanessa Carlton Yiruma Yeah, quite a massive list I've gotta go through I know! I wonder how many of them I'll actually fully get to check out... and this isn't all, there's a few other possible candidates that I've either forgotten about now or I think has a less probability of me liking all their stuff. I had to go through my full playlist to find all of these. Now I know when I want to know what artists to check out next I just gotta check this thread :D ...if it weren't for Lithum on SXM I probably wouldn't know a quarter of these. :P

Guess the album from the cropped part of the cover
I'm reviving this thread. I have no idea because I'm still relatively new to the entire world of music so I'll let the next person guess :)

Any interest in a Climate Preservation project?
I am so in on this. I love this kind of stuff and will support this project! I recommend everyone start using Ecosia, it's just like your web browser now except the ad revenue (don't worry, the ads are very unobtrusive) goes towards planting trees. Isn't it amazing nowadays how you can help the environment just by installing something that will blend perfectly into your life on the Web? Trust me, try it. It's very easy and such a nice thing to do amongst all the big greedy corporations attempting to completely wreck our very home for money that in the end isn't going to matter one bit. (I swear I'm going to write a whole song about this one day.) The more people that start using Ecosia the better off our planet will be! :) Hope a lot of people get in this. We need to realize that at least for now we only have this planet and we need to protect it the best we can. The more people the better this will be. Let's go :)

I would have said the same thing! It's an absolutely gorgeous song throughout and there's very little that could be improved (I think the bridge is a little teeny tad boring compared to the rest of the song and might have benefited from something just a little bit different or maybe a shortening, but I'm not going to go and edit the song, it's something very minor and really it's nitpicking, the song is absolutely gorgeous and I'm wrong for trying to analyze it like this... lol) All in all, sublime. 7.8/10. Very unique minimalist song, I didn't expect the song to take this turn using those unique vocal effects and electronic elements! I love the overall melancholic vibe it gives off to. Almost feels a little short though. Not enough for me to rank it 8/10, but deserves better than 7.5/10, which is why I chose a weird number for the ranking, leaning towards the higher end of the scale. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivFYVAntpw0 Mobile Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivFYVAntpw0

Which of these songs is your favourite
Let's do this game again! I know for a fact I've heard that Ophelia song covered in one of the places I visited on vacation!! It was so cool getting to see that song getting covered live, just 3 people somewhere downtown during the evening amongst many other people doing stuff that people love to watch. Man I love that place, everyone just gets along so much better there than where I live... wish I could go back :) I do like Saint Motel - Cold Cold Man the best though.

What is your favourite Coldplay song today?
All just sublime. I like Coldplay's new music but I'm not sure if they'll ever make music as great as this again. Oh well...

Random Coldplay thoughts...
That's too cool! Too bad the place where I live doesn't have that... man I remember one of the places I visited on vacation had lots of people playing somewhere downtown every single evening! (only went there one evening, but I remember going there last year too and it was the same thing! :))

"I just bought..." -- post your recent purchase!
That's for sure! :) I agree, you can just click play on any digital file but having a physical item in your hand is that much more special... And I mean, I wouldn't have CD's for every single artist and song I like even a little bit. For me, more of the special artists like Coldplay in my life. Digital files are cool too, since it is much easier to discover songs you like on the Internet and have that convenience of playing them. Again for me it'd likely be more of a special thing for the few artist I love the most.

Random Coldplay thoughts...
Probably. Wish we'd get versions of these early Pre Safety songs one day!!! That's another possibility too!
-
Random Coldplay thoughts...
hmm that doesn't sound like either song to me... maybe an extremely early versions of those songs....

"I just bought..." -- post your recent purchase!
True. If it weren't for the internet or digital music or anything there would be sooooooo many artists that I wouldn't know today... I think it's really great for discovering music and having it available to you anytime you want is a plus side. But I don't think anything can beat actually dedicating time to put a physical copy of something into it's player, it forms memories more solidly then a digital file you can click on. It's good for listening to your favorite artists. I agree with your very last statement. At the end of the day I still love the musi. :)
