Moving to Mars Christmas Lights Aiko (intro to the whole album I guiess for me) Ink (less poppy) Magic (modify to make a bit better) Midnight Oceans ASFOS (yes I like it, Deal with it lol, only thing is I listened to the original version and it sounds super slow. Avicii edit is freaking awesome.) Fly On/O Ghost Story of course O (Reprise) A Head Full Of Dreams Birds Everglow AOAL Fun Kaleidoscope Amazing Day Up&Up without the useless hand claps, bring the piano back, and real drums in chorus. (And make it sounds more lively in the chorus. everyone sounds insanely tired in the chorus of the studio version for some reason, I don't know why) and of course bring up the guitar aolos. Yeah so I kind of like a lot of songs from the new albums as you can tell... :P Really only here because despite me enjoying the new content the last two albums are a little to clean produced overall and because of that lost the "magic" of before that made Coldpaly songs so good. The lyrics and songwriting itself however has also seen a drop since then. IMO there are 4 EXTREMELY really good ones on AROBTTH, so far there's no songs written like that in the last two albums. (Im talking about Amsterdam, The Scientist, Politik, and Warning Sign btw. The emotional punch here is perfect and Coldplay has simply lost the ability to do those songs now. Of course every song on that album is good except maybe Daylight).

Well something must have happened because I did it again (accidentally Shut everything off and lost it all) and it's not on there. That being said the AHFOD songs still aren't on...

IMO "We Found Love" is one of her 3 "best" ones. AKA the ones that are at a level that is just above the others. Hold on a second, this is in the Oldplaying thread LOL, probably shouldn't be praising Rihanna ATM...

This. There's always the possibility that it might turn worse, and if CM keeps keeping up with mainstream music like he recently has then it's definetely going downhill. There's not one single song I like so far from 2016 yet that got released and became popular on mainstream radio. "Work" sounds like Drake feat Rihanna, not the other way around, that's the only song of hers I actually find boring and uninteresting (yes she's mostly pop but IMO her older content I especially like, even though it's more dance beats as usual... I don't know, I just find it good for some reason, although I'd still MUCH MUCH rather listen to rock and Coldplay, don't worry eveyone :D) "Formation" as we all know is trash. I don't really pay attention to much of anything else really. There was even a few songs I liked in 2015. But ultimately I share the same wish as you @I ran away. That be a wonderful theme for the next album, and leaving out electro dance beats is ideal. Making something warm and organic, yes please. I either wish they do that, or they make some crazy ambient-style music, maybe ambient rock since that's a genre hardly anyone does but is one of the most interesting, diverse, and experimental? I honestly can't see them doing that but that'd be so awesome nonetheless. I don't know. Whatever comes up for LP8 it better be new and good.

You mean LP8 right? Well it sucks that he's listening to trash... it's good that he still listens to some good music. But seriously I dont know why he listens to trash nowadays too. Pathetic. If they are not in fact going to take a long hiatus, then ya you're right. And then the next album will be something that Coldplay haven't done before. Which is still pop, just way more mainstream style like radio style. Which will be terrible. (That's not going to happen, there are certain people that will make sure it wont :D)

Oh no, so as always that "ending of something" was completely false again. I thought we were talking at least a major hiatus... Honestly they just need to take a break. Hopefully if they follow the path of logic that rock's been doen before they realize the same with pop, and then they can go back to making explorative, interesting, heartfelt music again. They realize that they need to try something new again now. I ask, what would you like to see from the Band for LP8? :D Anyways, they should at least do something more rock-style again. Doesn't have to be the same thing they used to do, it can still have a rock feel, just different. They can go super experimental if they want or keep it a little simpler, but the point is that there is much more rock to explore out there and Coldplay knows it. CM just doesn't want to admit it. Just keep trying new things, is all. That being said, hopefully they don't go into something even worse... which is always possible.

For it's style, this is not too bad, I enjoyed the remix :) huh? It says the post is gone... Apparently I'm ACDC fan lol :P But their music actually is great. and 5sos, 2 years in a row worst band :P Please Coldplay pair up with this guy for LP8... By your logic Coldplay, you don't want to stay the same forever. You'd said that rock has been done. Well guess what, you did pop now too. Where to next? Maybe do a very different form of rock that doesn't resemble what you did in your old days. Or a mainly ambient album. Combine the two? I'd really be looking for something completely new here in LP8. I hope the massive break will make you rethink and start fresh. If you can pull this off while making the heartfelt "magic" of Oldplay come back, I will be happy. Let's hope for the best....

Well I wen't on the Facebook page, and there was one person stupid enough to say that "bring me the horizon is much higher compared to fans that coldplay" which, if I understand this guy's terrible language correctly, "Bring Me The Horizon has more fans than Coldplay". :facepalm:

WOW. That sounds almost exactly like Kaleidoscope! Just higher, Especially the beginning... if you can't play 4:11 on and then play the beginning of Kaleidoscope without noticing only that difference I mentioned, I don't know what to tell you... I guarantee this was Kaleidoscope's roots. "We'll should rehearse that" too. They were obviously planning to do something with it. And now look, a full 6 years later, we have the final version of this sudden spark of creativity... (I don't know if they came up with it before or improvised btw... I'm just tsaying that'd be cool if he had a sudden improvisation thought and he played that). One thing though, I don't know why it had to be a full 6 years later. I do think I remember something about it being planned for release in the Mylo era, but I'm not too sure, because someone made a connection to it and a song title that never saw the light of day from back then (?) but maybe it just wasn't ready yet... probably a part of the acoustic album which got trashed, then skipped GS (although this would have fit on there too), but finally found it's home in AHFOD. The similarities tho... you can't deny that Kaliedoscope was at least in part inspired by this little improvisation :)

OMG I've been looking for this for YEARS! HAHAHA! I can't believe someone finally made it!! Someone must have been telepathic... :P Even though I've worked out my top 18 or so songs, this is definitely going to reveal the rest of my opinions without me going to have to create a little program of my own using the method I used to work out my top songs... Which would have been much harder for me anyway, because I'd have to compare 8 songs each time I'd rank. Going to give it a try, see how it goes, and if I manage I'll post my list soon! :)

I found a mistake! 0:30, you can see Will hitting the crash, but you can't hear it... but you watch it and don't pay attention and you really can't find anything because it's so in the background...

One thing about your opinion on amazing day and Up&Up, I agree with Up&Up but Amazing Day has one of the richest sounds I've ever heard. That's the one song where they actually made it sound nicer than it would have otherwise.

OK so I had a really creepy experience. I put my songs on shuffle and Fix You was playing. Leading up to the "Tears stream down your face..." Part, I had a horrific thought. I knew the chances were so slim and Low. Like 0.00001%, but I thought of Coldplay at a live event and them playing Fix You. He suddenly just drops dead, and he actually died. Then Tears stream down your face, when you lose some (one in this case) you can't replace. The whole crowd would be crying. I am thought of this as the last moments of Fix You were actually playing. Then, guess what comes next? "Now my feet won't touch the ground". If that wasn't coincidental enough for you, " A Ghost " played next... o_O
