am I the only person that told somebody that I liked them and they said no?
This is why guys have such low self esteem when it comes to girls.

This place really is a dating site.
Let me just post on here to warn everyone - please be very careful about online dating. You want to be sure the person can verify facts about themselves (add them on Facebook). You don't want to enter into a relationship with someone who's got a lot of pre-existing baggage. You always want to look out for scams. Skype with them first, before meeting them in person. Never become totally enamored with someone before meeting them in person - remember, people can have an entirely different online personality!!! I'm not saying this from personal experience (as I've had pretty good luck so far online), but I've heard stories from friends where it hasn't gone well at all.

I have a date tomorrow
Think about baseball while you're kissing him. Mainly focus on the batters' muscular arms and the outfielders' cute caps and tight white pants that show off their butts so nicely.

Tell people he sexually harassed you ;) Works every time!

Hmm, maybe you can get the boss transferred to another office. That's one way to get rid of him without firing him.

Bono Criticized for Avoiding Taxes [Warning: Daily Mail]
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1394422/Saint-Bono-facing-huge-Glastonbury-protest--avoiding-tax.html Bono is aware that taxes go to paying off interest on loans politicians took out in the peoples' names, not to actually helping the poor. Bankers and manufacturers of military machinery benefit when you pay your taxes. I hope he explains this to the people of Ireland, it might give them something to think about. Coldplay: Greatest downfall in the history of music?
That's another very odd thing here... what's with the meaningless lyrics now? Imagine you've got the world's loudest bullhorn and you can yell messages to millions of people! What would you say? Come on, Chris.

Coldplay: Greatest downfall in the history of music?
When I listen to music, I look for bands that can write songs that I don't think I'd be capable of writing if I put 100% of my effort into it. I want to hear bridges and choruses that make me think, "wow, I never thought of that... these are professionals". I could have written this song. No problem.

germany to shut all nuclear reactors until 2022
Germany would probably be better off split down the middle again. One side for the politicians/children to have fun with, and the other side for adult human beings who can handle freedom and risk. The US would benefit from such a scenario, too. But it'll never happen because politicians hate seeing other people live without their petty rules.

Global war on drugs 'has failed'
I've never heard of anyone jumping to their death from smoking marijuana. Alcohol, sure. Marijuana...nope.

germany to shut all nuclear reactors until 2022
This is happening now, I believe. There's a multi-billion-dollar facility that is attempting to create a fusion reaction using high powered lasers and water. If it works, it will multiply input energy by 7X, and the only waste will be water vapor.

Why is cocaine expensive? Do you know?

Global war on drugs 'has failed'
I disagree, I think all drugs should be made legal. Why do we lock up the addicts, instead of helping them? Portugal had decriminalized all drugs, and they've had major success: http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1893946,00.html Remember that very powerful people make money from drugs being illegal, so they will try to mislead us on this issue.

Deadly E.coli infections in Germany
Does cooking everything kill the E. Coli bacteria? I'm not well-versed in biology. That seems like the simple solution until they can get this figured out.

germany to shut all nuclear reactors until 2022
This is always the funny thing I encounter when discussing particular laws with proponents of powerful government - they claim that unless there is legal uniformity within a particular geographic area, there will be chaos and a disincentive to improve conditions. But they neglect to notice that on an international level, we continue to have effective anarchy. Granted, you do have the EU (which has no real military power of its own). But countries throughout the world still manage to settle their disputes peacefully and make deals between each other. In my view, the dangers of nuclear power are overblown, especially compared to other forms of energy production. But that's just my guess. I still think more research should be done on Thorium nuclear energy. It is supposed to be much safer and have far less waste products. Why isn't this discussed in the media as a reasonable alternative? The "greens" in Europe can't stand the idea of humans living comfortably and guilt-free. It's like the second coming of the Catholic church!

Global war on drugs 'has failed'
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lL83WewagiM]YouTube - Ron Paul on Drugs and Personal Choice (05/05/11)[/ame] Ever thought you'd hear a Republican say something like that? ;) I think the debate is shifting in favor of legalization overall... but there are many special interests that make a lot of money from drugs remaining illegal: cops, lawyers, judges, prison guards, prison owners, etc. So it will be an uphill battle, but the economic disaster that awaits us might force governments to re-legalize them, just like the first Great Depression forced them to legalize alcohol again.

The called Spanish Revolution movement
Ah, but you see, this is precisely what governments teach children - nonviolent protests are always best! I wonder why they prefer their tax-livestock believe this? ;) Yeah, I'll sit here and get beaten and bloodied without defending myself. Sounds like a good plan.

Damn, I was looking forward to eating out in Germany and Denmark this summer.

germany to shut all nuclear reactors until 2022
What blows my mind is that Fukushima hasn't been buried under 500 feet of lead and cement by now. The simple fact is, the government and the nuclear power executives didn't want to admit how bad things were. So they lied and sent a bunch of men to their deaths to go "fix" something that was already way out of control. They should have started to bury it IMMEDIATELY after the waters receded and they verified a meltdown. Now it's contaminating the land and killing people. If you're going to build a nuclear power plant on the coast of the Pacific Ocean, right next to the "Ring of Fire" fault line, you might as well also hire Paris Hilton to perform open heart surgery on your grandmother.

Fascism on the Rise
Yes, we eat beets, cornbread, black eyed peas, okra (both fried and boiled), cooked cabbage, chicken salad, potato salad, cheese grits, corn on the cob, macaroni and cheese, greens with videlia onion on them... And I think of capitalism like a spinning top, which can continue to spin indefinitely until force is introduced... then it starts to get wobbly and eventually falls over.

Fascism on the Rise
Chuck, one of these days I'm going to teach you to love profit. And beets. Both are good for you.

Google's Driverless Cars
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/29/business/economy/29view.html?_r=2 Driverless cars are a fantastic concept and invention, and I really hope they are made legal. It would improve peoples' lives immensely to free up the time they spend focusing on driving to doing more valuable things - learning a language, reading, socializing with friends! It might also solve a lot of our traffic problems.
