  1. ^ Today I saw football footage with the use of Keane's 'Crystal Ball' :P
  2. I've never ever seen a good performance of someone else singing a Coldplay song. It has never worked, and it will never work! But maybe it's just because we admire the band so much and there's just NOTHING that can be good enough for us :P
  3. Gosh, that looks like a lot of work.. I'd take FOREVER to pick my Top 25 songs and even bring them in an order..
  4. ^ That's a great choice! I heard 'Fix You' playing a couple of times when there was talking about 9/11.. Of course it's a beautiful, sad song, but if it's used too often and for every sad occasion, it gets tiring.. @ FluMTonks: I LOVE House, gosh, he's so hot in a very weird way :P
  5. Thanks for all your suggestions, really good ones :D I chose "Careful where you stand" in the end, just to mention the deep bond and connection and all, but now that I think about it, just for the SITUATION where he feels bad, I should have picked 'See You Soon'.. But well, can't change it now, they're all great songs, aren't they? :)
  6. Hm, that's always a huge mistake that contestans make.. When they're big fans of a certain artist and they sing their songs, just because of their deep love for them - but most of the time, it turns out awful!
  7. Got these with Chris and The Edge:
  8. "See You Soon" would be my second choice, too.. I've been listening to both "See you soon" and "Careful where you stand" the past hour now and I can't decide.. "Careful where you stand" kinda means more to me and brings up a certain feeling in me, but I'm afraid there's too much FEELING in it, you know what I mean? That it might be too much..
  9. Haha :P It was just nice to hear that they used a different song than just the typical songs like "Fix You" that's being played on so many shows and films now..
  10. Today I saw the end of a Smallville episode and the two main characters had sex the first time with "A Message" in the background :D
  11. Yeah, and I need a b-side! I definitely want a special song you can't hear on every album, you know?
  12. ...if you wanted a friend to know that you're there for them? I'm having a friend who's going through rough times at the moment. I just found out that he didn't manage to get into the university he wanted to and he's that type of person who doesn't want to talk to anyone when something bad happens. He lives abroad so I depend on him coming online but in times like these, he probably won't show up the next couple of days or even weeks. Anyway, there is a special bond between us when it comes to music. We share music - he shares his, I share mine. He likes Coldplay, but doesn't know any of the unreleased songs, so I want to send him one of the b-sides to tell him "No matter what happens, no matter if you want to talk to me or not, I'm here, thinking about you!" I thought "Careful where you stand" would be the perfect choice - what would you do? I'm not talking about cheering someone up (you'd need a happy song for that), I'm talking about letting someone know how much they mean for you! Looking forward to get your responses.. :)
  13. ^ It's the same cover they used last year for the description - it's not the real cover, just one you can look at, but if they'll really sell a Coldplay calendar, it won't look like this one!
  14. ^ Lol, haven't you read the last two pages? It's not RELEASED yet, it's just NEWS and you'll have to wait and BUY the thing, just like all of us!!
  15. Love your avatar by the way, I can't wait for the new Killers album to come out :D
  16. The news with Kanye West only came up one month ago and it said that the song will be featured on Kanye's next album NEXT YEAR - it's gonna happen, we just gotta wait a bit ;)
  17. I don't think it's that bad or scandalous after all.. Maybe they just decided to go on with just one management from now on and picked the one they were happier with..
  18. I'm really sorry to say that, but - I don't like these news =/ I can't stand Jay-Z and even though I think it's cool that Chris tries different things, he should get out of that hip hop business now :P Kanye West is different, he's not that normal kind of rapper, he's got awesome songs, but Jay-Z - I'm not too fond of him :(
  19. Alright, even if we wouldn't already know that this woman isn't Chris's sister, we'd know it now.. Why does she even close Gwyneth's door behind her?? :P
  20. Well, they listed the 2006 calendar long before they even had a picture or a confirment last year, so who knows if they're actually gonna sell it.. We'll see :)
  21. Posted this in the Gwyneth thread yesterday evening.. Mistery is finally solved now ;)
  22. Some girls from visions finally solved that mistery about the woman we've seen on pictures with Gwyneth so often - some of us thought she was Chris' sister because she looked a bit like him and she was seen with his mother, but appearently she's Gwyneth's assistant and not related to them at all! The woman is supposedly Gael Anderson who's a close friend of the Paltrow-Martin family and daughter of Ian Anderson (frontman of Jethro Tull). In addition, she's the wife of Andrew Lincoln who was mentioned in the APPLE RELIGION section - Apple was their bridesmaid, remember? :) Anyway, the mistery is solved, thanks to the girls at visions :D For the ones who don't know what "mistery" I'm talking about - this is just one of the pictures where she was seen with Gwyneth (you can also see her in the recent pics of Gwyneth and Michael Stipe shopping in Notting Hill):
  23. ^ Well, that's what most people say, but after many years, most of them usually feel ready to get involved with someone again. And in their age, they don't have to get all lovey-dovey again, marry and get kids (which is probably even biologically impossible :P) - I think that "dating" in this age is more like being best friends, having a partner so that you're not alone..
