  1. England got three points that's what counts... they were doing well in the first half, it wasn't a very good performance in the second half, but as you already mentioned it was extremely hot. I'm sure they can do better than today...
  2. hello everyone!
  3. don't worry Crouch will score the panalty this time
  4. This isn't a theory... I know people who think this is true actually, I don't say every Radiohead fan is like this. I accept if anyone dislikes Coldplay or whoever but if they say that they don't like them because they are influenced by another band, I find it pretty ridiculous. I mean it is a positive thing that Radiohead have a huge influence on other bands, even if you dislike them. But some people don't even give them a chance. They compare any of those bands with Radiohead and they'll find all of them really bad. Alright, I'm gonna read your other posting, I wasn't referring to you, I meant this discussion in general. But as you said if I asked them, I'd only get negative responses which kinda shows that I ain't that wrong...
  5. Best: The Beatles Radiohead Coldplay Sigur Ros Interpol Worst: Black Eyed Peas Tokio Hotel Avril Lavigne James Blunt Green Day
  6. I know... but that doesn't answer my question. I mean it doesn't have to be a bad thing. It's ok if you dislike Muse but I don't think the fact that they are influenced by Radiohead is a reason to do this. I love Radiohead but if you talk to some of their fans you could think they were the only decent band in the world.
  7. There is one thing, which I really don't understand, why do most Radiohead fans consider it as a negative thing if a band is influenced by them?
  8. ^ world in motion is a lot better than three lions in my opinion... I don't like world at your feet anyway our World Cup song hymna (anthem) is just horrible, it's a rap by some guy gimma
  9. There are definitely people how just like him because of his looks. Anyway, his live shows are great in my opinion. I don't like every song either, but I just can't dislike him...
  10. his looks or his music?
  11. I read that once but I'm not sure actually. Not alll of them, the lyrics of feel definitely mean something for example.
  12. Cissé isn't a bad player, but I would have preferred Henry to be out for sure. I feel the same about France and Germany.
  13. He wrote the lyrics of Angels, didn't he? I think he wrote some good lyrics apart from Angels...
  14. How are France doing? I can't say I'll miss him against Switzerland, even though I feel sorry for him if it's another terrible injury. Sorry Julia, but this would made my day.
  15. Haha He isn't fat, but I fear ANY man wouldn't do it for you. Why do you think Gary Barlow is more talented than him? He wrote a few songs for other bands, some of them were quite successful...
  16. I can't wait, just two days to go. Comme on Costa Rica! :P
  17. I'm sorry for that. :P You might be right that Gary Barlow is the better songwriter, but Robbie Williams is a great entertainer and Gary Barlow isn't.
  18. I don't agree.
  19. Brazil, Argentina, England or the Netherlands. I hope it will be England.
  20. England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has confirmed that standby striker Jermain Defoe will fly out with the England squad to Germany on Monday. Eriksson has maintained his belief that Wayne Rooney will play at the World Cup, but the injured forward is waiting on the outcome of a scan on Wednesday. "Defoe goes with us to Germany because we have to be insured about Wayne Rooney," Eriksson said. Defoe was preferred to Everton forward Andy Johnson for a place on the plane. Eriksson added: "Obviously, everybody thinks he will come back from Manchester on Wednesday evening and that's what I think. "I have no doubts about it - but I can't be sure, of course, until the scan is done." Under Fifa rules, Eriksson has until 24 hours before their opening Group B game against Paraguay to replace Rooney in his squad, should the 20-year-old be ruled out of the finals. Eriksson also highlighted the mood in the camp after their 6-0 thrashing of Jamaica on Saturday. He said: "Everything is more or less perfect. "The spirit in the squad is absolutely fantastic, even better than it's been before - and before it's been very good. "There is a great belief that we can do very well." Johnson's chances of featuring in the World Cup are now all but over and he believes Eriksson would have picked him for the finals if he had played in the Premiership last season. The 25-year-old is on the standby list for the finals, having played for Crystal Palace last season but is behind Defoe in Eriksson's pecking order. He said: "I think I could have had a good chance of getting into the full squad if I had been playing in the Premiership all last season. "Instead, I stayed at Palace [in the Championship] and scored 17 goals." Johnson completed his £8.6m move to the Toffees on Tuesday after four years at the Selhurst Park club. He has just two international caps to his name and was ousted from the squad by 17-year-old Arsenal forward Theo Walcott. And Johnson added: "I know that if we hadn't been relegated and I'd scored 10 or 12 goals with Palace in the Premiership then I might have been in with a good chance of going. "But I have no regrets that I stayed that extra year at Selhurst Park and I have always said 'what will be, will be'." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2006/teams/england/5045680.stm
