I downloaded their EP, and it's pretty good. I'm surprised how much Dhani sounds like George, which is even stranger because no2 is heavily electronic is contrast to The Beatles.

I bet you watched the game on CBC... NBC didn't do anything but talk about Sidney Crosby and show him every 2 seconds. I felt like throwing up after he scored just because he was the one I wanted to see produce the least so the idiot commentators would have nothing to talk about. All anger-at-NBC aside, I loved the game. The stadium is about 10 minutes from my house, so that made it all the more exciting to see it for such a high profile occasion. I didn't go obviously, mostly because tickets sold so friggin fast, but also because I enjoy watching glorious HD hockey in my warm house. The weather was perfect for the game too; it was snowing (it's always snowing in Buffalo, right? :P) and it just felt like this was the best image that could be reproduced across the country for the sake of the NHL. I just don't want to be hearing about Sidney Crosby for the next 5 months.

AHHHHHH NO! Sidney Crosby!!!! Why him!? Of all people, why did he have to win it? Ugh more reason for the NBC/VS guys to shove their noses up his ass. Gah.

I just got a brand new pair of Sennheiser headphones for Christmas this morning so I decided to experiment a little with higher audio formats. I usually use 128kbps mp3 encoding for my everyday listening purposes, but apparently it has quite a bit of quality loss when compressed from CD format. I ripped a few of my CDs to Apple Lossless to see if there was a difference, but so far I haven't noticed anything at all. Does anyone know any benefits to switching to lossless format from mp3?

It comes up in Amsterdam...but I don't know if it helps deal with it.

I saw that on TV the other day. It was weird...I remember reading about it so I knew about it, but I had no idea they would show it here.

Umm... the discbox is amazing. I finally got home from college so I opened up my discbox as soon as I arrived. I didn't listen to Disc 2 until this morning though. All these songs are outstanding; I wish they would have made In Rainbows an epic 16 track album with all of these songs on it (except MK 1 & 2, because they're just snippets).

I don't understand how anyone can even think to believe this most unreliable of sources. Besides, one key component missing from this album is their trademark "Albertus" font. They've used it on EVERYTHING for the last 7 years. I understand they might be moving from their previous styles, but seriously, they probably won't move from that too.

Healthy In Paranoid Times was a good step off of Gravity, even if it didn't do as well commercially. I'd really like for them to be a little more edgy sounding instead of the mellowness. Perhaps they will go the way of Radiohead and return to their roots after Raine, like Thom Yorke, released a solo album of his own style instead of incorporating a large portion of it into the band's music. ...Wow Briggins, 9,999 posts? Which one's gonna be the big 10k? :)

I listened to it yesterday and I loved it. It's not Our Lady Peace, but I think most of the songs are excellent. It's nothing innovative or anything, just nice to listen to.

"We've finished the record. It's called ______ and it will be out in 9 days." Just to outdo Radiohead. hehe
