I'm totally digging this! So many possibilities. Makes me think of the Magic video. I think we may know what our first LP8 video will look like.

I keep listening to Moving to Mars, Prospekt's March, and All I Can Think About is You over and over. I think that's what sort of LP8 I want. :grinning:

All this hype "forced" me to finally join Discord as well so amongst that, this forum, and reddit, I will now be useless to anyone while LP8 is dropping.

Also feeling hype. But. It could take a while for stuff to get finalized / perfected. Remember when everyone kept hoping AHFOD movie would come out and it took a year? Trying to balance my expectations here. :joy:

Even if a month is too soon and this is all just made up hype, I think we have extremely good signs we will have new music in the next year given the Global Live concert appearance announcement for next year (they typically do not play as a band unless in tour mode, they are very picky about their production) and Phil and Dave's interview where they said it wouldn't happen til 2020 or 2021. And aren't there rumors about Glasto next year given the anniversary? I cannot imagine Coldplay not being there. So we are in for a treat at least in a year! So exciting!!! A wonderful time to be a Coldplayer.:heart_eyes::heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

Literally just that there were rumors they were going to release music. That's it. Maybe it's nothing but this is the second time I've heard of a radio station saying this (the other time I read on this board).

Guys, might mean nothing, but today on Sirius XM The Pulse station in the US the DJ said there are rumors about Coldplay releasing new music end of this year. I was surprised to hear rumors were beyond our little fandom here and being publicly announced. Is their PR starting some buzz?

So last night I dreamed that I was at a work event and randomly Coldplay comes out on stage and does a Pearl Jam cover??? (song I couldn't place but somehow knew it was Pearl Jam) I was so stunned and star struck I didn't even try to get near the stage and then they were gone and I was sad I missed my chance. Then I speculated with coworkers if doing an alt rock cover meant the next album would be more in that direction. :joy:

While I think everyone was holding out hope for something earlier give the whole full of surprises thing, in that interview with Dave Holmes and Phil Harvey they pretty much said 2020 / 2021. And the official GC site does show Coldplay in the trailer. I think this is legit, folks. :grinning::grinning::grinning::grinning:

It would be amazing indeed if they went back to more of their alt rock sounds....Chris playing Violet Hill recently gives me hope.

Ok as someone from another generation raising the new generation I feel like the next album might have some connection to the state of things in the world. Right? Violet Hill. Politik? Anyone?

Thank you. I've tried therapy and meditation with varying levels of success. Mostly it's me. I don't stick with it. Yesterday was a rock bottom day. One of a few I've had in my life. Something happened which was a decent problem in the build up of problems and I blew my fuse. It's hard when you are anxious and overblown but also justified that a behavior is not acceptable. Also, I'm tired of apologizing for who I am. I will work to be better but the other side must too. Then it was good for a day. Then another fight. I hate it.

I am tired of being anxious. I am tired of being insecure. I am tired of hating myself. I am tired of my personality when I'm anxious and insecure because I affect everyone around me. I have a great life overall but can't enjoy it. I wish I could have a normal mind.

I don't even like BTS (I do like some Asian pop) but I don't really see the harm. It's not like just bc they do collaborations they can't also do other things.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my closest Grandma 15 years ago and Warning Sign was the song that I will always remember that event by, and I played it over and over while grieving. Now the song Beloved by Mumford and Sons is doing the same, this much time later. It is so tough to lose a beloved person.

Superposition by Young the Giant is giving me all the tingles. Nightmare by Halsey is the screaming anthem I need based on current events.

Haven't listened to my Coldplay playlist in a while and was worried it had lost the magic for me. Nope. Still beloved as ever.
