  1. For a little over a year, I was pretty addicted to Coldplay, made a bunch of positive life changes and was able to really keep it together while I was regularly listening. Then around last fall I got overwhelmed with life and just stopped...I'm realizing now how messed up I've been since I've lost the positive force the music seemed to give me. I need to get back into it...
  2. They literally just released a film about how special they are as a full band so I'm not ready to believe because two members might have a side project it's the end of Coldplay.
  3. We watched Idis Elba in Turn Up Charlie on Netflix, which is about being a washed up DJ who ends up watching after a famous mate's rebellious child as a paid nanny, and there were a couple of Coldplay mentions, like "Coldplay's not coming to the festival" or something like that. They were probably making fun but I was just too happy to see a mention to care LOL.
  4. Paradise is literally my personal theme song. It's like Chris knew me as a weirdo teenage girl.
  5. I was alive then and missed this. I literally guffawed. :joy::joy::joy:
  6. Based on how AHFOD was recorded, pretty sure recent albums have been recorded cross ponds and lands. It might be the start but think it's all there is thus far. More to come I'm sure....
  7. Am I the only one hoping desperately for dream pop? CM loves it and so do I........
  8. My impression is that Chris just loves to perform. He can't help himself, it is what makes him feel alive, and I think he will accept offers to do what he loves. He's done side gigs when they aren't touring for years. He even said once he would be willing to play a wedding for $$$ which was joking but it looks like he does do it sometimes. I think he is a productive person who likes to have work. I think the rest of the band prefers perform in context of a tour. And they are on a break. So I don't read too much into it personally. Sure with the distance they have grown up and apart as we often do as we grow older. But deep friendships can withstand those things.
  9. Like "nobody said it was easy...no one ever said it would be this hard" "If you never try then you'll never know"
  10. You use Coldplayisms in work meetings to explain things to non Coldplayers.
  11. I've said this before but it bears repeating. I joined a new health related community lately and already it is apparent that people can be total jerks there. I love how Coldplay culture and community is a breath of fresh air to come back to.
  12. Chris is a huge jokester so I wouldn't be surprised if it was a totally made up joke.
  13. Gravity has been my song of the day. And Amsterdam.
  14. Songs I keep playing on repeat: you should see me in a crown, Billie Eilish Seventeen, Sharon Van Etten Castle, Halsey
  15. I love Sufjan Stevens. Definitely explore his music. If you love him, consider Novo Amor, Ben Howard, Jose Gonzalez, Damien Rice, Lord Huron, Bon Iver if you haven't already. They are all on my chill / melancholy playlist.
  16. I'm feeling in a darker place lately and wish I had uplifting Coldplay new music to help lift me up. Or a euphoric concert to go to.
  17. 1. Dolores O'riordan 2. Metallica Black Album 3. Emma Ruth Rundle 4. Birds 5. Coldplay :joy:
  18. I could see this being a dope rap.
  19. I had my second dream that Chris Martin was my best high school friend, but this one was rom com edition: I secretly loved him but was friend zoned bc he was dating my best friend and I confessed my love at the end. I woke up before the final kiss scene. :sob::sob::sob::broken_heart:
  20. When I'm having a hard time settling down, have to listen to O to go sleep.
  21. Can I answer this one??? I love karaoke and will sing every time. EVERY TIME.
  22. Even though 2018 was a rough year, my outlook on life is 100% better now and Coldplay was an instrumental part of that. It took almost 40 years to get here, but it is never too late!
  23. It depends on what kind of buoying I need. For example: Working out: Lose Yourself, Eminem The Greatest, Sia What You Waiting For, Gwen Stefani Going to Work: Miracles, Someone Special, Coldplay Hall of Fame, The Script with Will.i.am (Girls) Run the World, Beyonce (also workout) American Oxygen, Rihanna Depressed or Anxious Don't Panic, Coldplay Paradise, Coldplay GPASUYF, Coldplay (also workout, especially Live 2012 version)
  24. https://www.joe.ie/amp/music/christmas-eve-busking-u2-652964 Not Coldplay but the likes of U2 and Damien Rice and Glen Hansard at a Christmas Eve busking festival? Now I have a new item for the bucket list!
  25. So do we think they are making new music in there? It seems like I keep seeing pics pop up in social media like they have been in studio multiple days. Or is this just a get together?
