For me, it's been the best year for music as long as I've been into music. I'm just listening to Jet's album on their myspace. It's amazing. I love it. But it's not like it's a great album amongst loads of poor ones. This summer has been brilliant for music. The Strokes started it off for me in January with First Impressions of Earth and I was hooked on that for a while... Stereophonics came out with Live from Dakota which also got a lot of playtime. But it's been the past 3 months where it's been really strong. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Stadium Arcadium is brilliant and Muse's new album was equally as good, and I didn't listen to Muse before I heard that album. And more recently I've been listening non stop to Kasabian's Empire, Milburn's debut and now Jet. And anyways, this Jet album just got me talking to a few mates about how this year has been really good album wise for me. What's it been like for everyone else?

That's an incredibly uninformed answer. If you look back in the History books at your local library and research you'll find that some of the most horrifying war leaders and "terrorists" were not religious in the slightest.

No I have no problem at all with threads DESIGNED for spamming. I just don't go in them. I just don't like it when threads about information that could be useful to a reader is poisoned by unnecessary stuff.

Glad you agree I'm right. :) I'm in a mood tonight and everything's pissing me off. But, this is something has always annoyed me.

It's spam if it's in the wrong place. If I click on a thread called "Politics and Money" I expect to be able to read about Politics and Money, not how Mary and Fred are doing and what they have been up to. If these two people know eachother they can PRIVATE MESSAGE. That way it's private and not in anyone else's way. It's spam in many people's eyes and mine.

It's recently gotten worse. Even people who didn't used to spam now do, cause of peer pressure. It's just those threads where it's like, conversation about NO topic whatsoever. Like "OMG... PETER! HOW ARE YOU!! I HAVEN'T SPOKEN TO YOU ON THIS FORUM FOR LIKE... 31 MINUTES! WOWOOWWWWW WHATS UP?" and etc.

I vote me.

You have to accept though... Rarely in school subjects at whatever level do they want you to have an extensive opinion on anything. In the end there might be one or two times you need to state your opinion and why but for the rest of the time you have to do it their way. You don't learn the subject, you learn how to pass the test. I spent 5 years studying German and I wouldn't say I was fluent, I got a high grade for it but that's cause I learned how to answer the tests questions and not how to speak the language. Of course there are courses this doesn't apply to, but in general I think I'm right.

I HATE spammers on forums. Hate hate hate hate HATE them. Honestly we could rant about it but I'm just in anger mode right now so I wouldn't be saying anything that wasn't words and sentances filled with hate and evil.

Threads like this and posters like you are reasons why this Lounge isn't as popular as it used to be. Take your shit somewhere else or use your words to actually say something someone cares about.

A coat that I thought was awesome until I got it. Wore it like, 3 times. Everyone else liked it but I just hated it. Oh well.

Like... I mean, I always want to be as unique as I can without grabbing all the attention... And I have a few things that I'm known for amongst my friends and school and whatnot. I wanted to start a thread and this was as good as I can come up with. So tell me if there is anythin' you're well known for and why. :D For me it's like... Being tall - I'm the tallest kid in my school. Self explanatory really. Being the basketball kid - I'm one of the best basketballers in my school. 'Nuff said. (linked to tallness? Yeah, maybe.) Wearing air force ones - I'm the only one who wears them that I know. They're my babies I love em. Saying "awesome!" far too much - ... I just started sayin' it one day and it stuck. it's amazing how I've affected people with the word and caused it to be one of the most said words around my area. it's awesome. Being a "cool geek" - haha. one of the prettiest, most popular girls I've ever met told me that. It meant a lot. I'm a self confessed computer geek, gaming geek. What can I say. At least I'm cool about it..... Apparently. Someone out there has to have somethin better than that. Like didn't mrcool blow up a toilet or somethin? That's exactly what I'm lookin' for.
