  1. I already started a thread, but seriously. Check out Maps. ...my current obsession. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39332 http://www.myspace.com/mapsmusic
  2. Yeah. At least they seem to be back on track again.
  3. Yeah, that about sums it up. oh, and
  4. That just was the finale. It was good, I think, but I'm really numb now, so I wouldn't trust my own judgement. The prospects for the future just got a lot better- Good place to end for now.
  5. word to the wise: ALWAYS CHECK THE SOURCES! Something that will save you from massive amounts of bad journalism on many subjects. :laugh3: Although "interviewed on a Canadian public radio program no one listens to" would be pretty much accurate most of the time.
  6. Hey, I just realised that the coldplayer still works at least, if anyone wants to look up stuff: http://212.23.58.131/
  7. Don't worry, I never took you seriously anyway. :dozey: But sometimes you act like you want to be.
  8. I like both equally for different things. Photoshop, Illustrator, movie or sound editing, all that sort of stuff is a lot easier to use on a mac. If you want to play cutting edge games, you're better off with a PC. Internet, both are about equal, once you learn both styles of controls. Yes, you do have to put up with a lot more crap on a PC. At the same time, you have more control if you want to mess around with it and you know what you're doing. Macs can get viruses though, (the mac computer lab I used when I was studying graphic design got plenty, although much less often than the PC labs) and contrary to what some people say, macs can crash (I've crashed them many times myself- just try using the blur tool on about 30 layers simultaneously in photoshop. Lights out.)
  9. Hey, if that's how you want us to think of you, that's how I'll think of you. :P Will make anything you say alot harder to ever take seriously, though.
  10. I don't know, at least you joined... welcome to the giant fishbowl. Meh... what fun is a giant ceramic castle if there's no one to play hide and seek with? :(
  11. One week till she comes home for the summer... what if we've forgotten how to live around each other?
  12. Exactly what I've been wondering. Heh... this is beginning to feel like a car trip- "Mommyyyyyyy, are we theeeeere YET???!" :laugh3: Pity they couldn't at least give us access to the old ezines and stuff.
  13. Now THAT is how to end a season. Wow. Such a great show from start to finish. I think you're somewhere roughly in the middle.

Has anyone heard this guy yet? It's my current obsession. Gorgeous layered mellow stuff, full of atmosphere- really dreamy. :nice: Oh, and I guess he ended up working with the producer who works with Sigur Ros, so it's somewhere in that vein, but happier sounding. Check him out if you haven't yet- my favorite songs so far are Don't Fear, It Will Find You, and To the Sky. http://www.myspace.com/mapsmusic www.mapsmusic.com I can't wait for the album to come out in North America- I got so tired of waiting that I ended up burning all the singles off of itunes, and have been playing them constantly for a couple of weeks now. :D
  15. :shy: I have to say, lame puns are a lot more fun when ruining the punchline for someone else. :p
  16. I wasn't fished in... i never actually asked what's a piekost, now did I. *hrumpf* I just phrased it that way to answer the question. :P ;) I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Pastis... but I miss summer now... there are a bunch of blueberry bushes that grow near my house...
  17. Fine. If you're going to be like that I'll just have to google it myself. :P *looks it up* So ladies and gentlemen, what's a piekost you ask? It's a very lame pun. :disappointed: It's also about 5 or 6 bucks at the local Superstore. *groan* p.s. Now I'm really craving butter tarts. And wild blueberries, but those won't come for another few months.
  18. Yay, Charlie isn't dead after all! (yet :stunned: ) And he's actually being a hero! I went into it all ready to see him go, like it or not. Great episode, reminded me why I like Charlie in the first place. Has anyone seen the screenshots floating around of Jacob? He actually appeared for a couple of frames during that polergeist scene. http://losteastereggs.blogspot.com/2007/05/11-frames-of-jacob.html
  19. I forgot Pecan Pie!!! Pecan is the best pie in the universe. Seriously. It's like a giant butter tart. mmm... butter tarts. *drools* Good grief! You're alive! :stunned: piewhat?
  20. 1 Snow Patrol vs. Arcade Fire 2 Radiohead vs. Sigur Rós Hmm. 4 of my top 6 or 7 in the final. I guess I shouldn't complain whichever way it goes.
  21. Pumpkin!!! :D Oh, and blueberry. :nice: Can't GET them?! Store-bought pies suck. Fresh home-made one are the best, and they're not hard at all.
  22. When I get a cd, I usually listen to it on shuffle. And very often, I'll listen to a few songs in the car, then the rest later. But when an entire album exists as one piece of work, you miss a lot on shuffle. The songs work together in a neat way.
  23. Kid A. Find some time to really enjoy it, sit back, and listen all the way through in order. It's like one perfectly crafted gem- the whole is greater than it's individual facets.
  24. 1 Death Cab For Cutie vs. Arcade Fire 2 Blur vs. Snow Patrol Tie for me, actually, so neither 3 Radiohead vs. The Beatles Ouchie! Yes, the Beatles are the Beatles. Legendary, revolutionary, awesome, and all round brilliant. But it's been nearly 40 years. Surely we can like something else brilliant and innovative after 40 years. Besides, as one person pointed out recently, their whole thing was "All you need is love."- and then they broke up. So, with plenty of reverence, I'm letting the past deal with itself and going with Radiohead. 4 Sigur Rós vs. Keane
