Best April Fools?
Here's where I first heard about it- on here: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38713 The official Muse messageboard came up with a little summary of all the threads here: http://board.muse.mu/showthread.php?t=42189 Very funny reading. ALL of the Muse messageboards were in on it, but it started at muse.mu apparently.

Stupid paper. :anxious: Grace, where did you get that picture in your sig from? It's fantastic!

Best April Fools?
NME had something on their website about Muse booking a flight into orbit. Kind of got overshadowed by the whole message board scheme though. That was the best/worst kind of prank, because everyone's first reaction was April fools, but wait a minute, what if it was just really bad timing and it is real. I tried to take a wait and see approach... but ended up staying up way late saving stuff and when I did go to bed I was so worried (what sort of a precedent would this set? Sure they don't have a legal leg to stand on, but who can really fight them on it? What if EMI pulled the same deal with Coldplaying????) that I spent most of the night trying to stop worrying and fall asleep. Everyone wondered what had happened to me the next morning. :laugh3: So yeah, they got me good. But my Grandmother died on April 1st which led to some awkward situations, so I'm extremely gullible to the no, this is for real, honest line when something is especially nasty.

I"LL GIVE YOU SOME FLIPPIN ADVICE
You can always use the leftover buns to make sandwiches later... Or maybe they're thinking that the bread will spoil before you eat all of the hotdogs? :idea2:

Write the Persons Name Above You
Hi Martin. Wait a minute... nitram - it's like sniggirb  I'm Mo, but Erin is probably less confusing for everyone.
-
Write the Persons Name Above You
No, but that's what everyone calls me around here. *wonder why * I see everyone is calling you nitram...
-
Write the Persons Name Above You
Why is this still going anyway? And I think Reilly was mocking us when it started... *sigh* nitram

Chris Martin's sweet revenge on school bully
Aw, that must have been so sweet. :laugh3: Providing all that the quotes are true, of course. They sure sound like him- but all chopped up and probably edited alot. Man, bullies are the worst... thank goodness they usually grow up a bit when they get out of school. I found the source article in the Sun, but it looks like that came from somewhere else too. http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,4-2007150214,00.html Which may actually make it somewhat more reliable, but leaves the question what interview did this come from anyway?

Radiohead
I was surprised at how not bad it sounded- good arrangement... but then the singer opened his mouth and started singing. His voice... it doesn't work with the song, and there was something weird about it. Took me a minute to realise what, though. He was pitch yes, too on pitch. There wasn't any space or elasticity or anything between the notes. Which means he was probably using that voice correction stuff and he had it turned up really high.

Save Muse fansites - April's Fools
http://board.muse.mu/showthread.php?t=42187 Biggest, most well done April Fool's online joke I think I've ever seen. http://board.muse.mu/showthread.php?t=42187 :laugh3: Man, someone ought to boil in oil for that one... they were convincing.

Barenaked Ladies
Sometimes I think that there's some rule that if you're Canadian you have to like these guys... I don't really know anyone who doesn't. I'm not much of a fan, but there are lots of songs of theirs that I like. Especially the one about the monkeys.

"Best book you have ever read, thread"
If the sig and avatar doesn't give it away, more than anything I'm a Tolkien fanatic. Lord of the Rings all the way. (And for the record, it was for years before the movies, too.) Recently,... hmm don't really read much outside of class. It's hard to read for fun when you have to read for work. Antigone is brilliant, though. It's old, it's sad and it's Greek, but it's totally worth reading. One of the best things I've read in ages.

My cousin went to school with Guy!!
It's been 2 years... there is no picture. From what I remember of the whole drama, the story had a way of morphing and growing in the way a poorly started fib does. She probably just expected people to say hey cool rather than bugging her for proof.

We're All Getting Crushed (Talking with people in airports)
Totally feeling it. And agree with most of what you said... personally, I blame the industrial revolution, and whoever the lunatics are who are so hell-bent on this (imho FAKE) idea of "progress". It's the reason I do still take the bus downtown to buy cds and vinyl when I can (unfortunatly the best store for vinyl shut down due to lack of customers thanks to itunes and the like, though). It's also the reason that I like to write things out in cursive with a fountain pen... sometimes it seems like I'm the only one in class without a laptop. I have some thoughts... I'll say more when they have been organised. But for me, you know what the best cure is? There's a bike path near my house... a long one. It meanders alongside a river, through woods, past lakes and marshes I didn't even know I lived near being trapped in suburbia as I am. Suburbia has a funny way of making you think that there isn't anything but the endlessness of it, so I was shocked the first time I found out how much cool stuff was right there just 5 minutes away by bike. When the weather gets a bit warmer and the ground dries out enough, I'm going to get my bike out, tune it up, and go for a ride. I may spend 20 minutes on it, but I could very well be out for a couple of hours. I'll turn the cell off so I only have it incase I get a flat or something, and I will effectivly be unreachable for that time. Every moment will be my own. It'll be hard work getting as far as I want to go on that first ride, but if I do, I'll feel better afterwards from all the exercise, and there will be some of the most incredible views to stop at and just enjoy on my own time along the way. No limitations except the sunset and how far my legs can take me. Endorphins have to be the single best cure for that sort of feeling, and just getting outside takes away everything that's wrong with the gym. And that's how I survive in this crazy messed up world.

Save Muse fansites - April's Fools
Interesting that this came to light just as it was April 1st in many parts of the world... Very well done if it's a joke... reminds me of some of the crazy stuff theonering.net has pulled over the years. I'll lose my mind on April 2nd if it isn't.

My band (There once was Rupert...)
I've had this tune stuck in my head all afternoon, driving myself crazy trying to figure out what it is. Finally realised, it was your song- My Pineappled Heart That's got to be a good sign, when a song can get stuck in the head like that. ;)

SECOND ALIAS DAY!!!
April 1st is Sunday isn't it... In other words, I couldn't play anyway- last week of class, lots of work. :( grr... stupid work.

Dean was Rory's first boyfriend... Jess was Luke's nephew- the James Dean wannabe.

WAAAH ... baby #3!!!!!!
:dozey: This is getting ridiculous... it seems like the skinny actresses have pregnancy rumors spread about them whenever they're packing an extra pound or two because it happens to be that time of the month.... I guess the tabloids are taking a "if we say it often enough eventually we'll be right about someone" approach.

Here's a sketch... basically all the albums that have had a chance to seep into my conciousness. There are so many others that I really love that belong on the list, but I don't own them and haven't heard them in awhile or sometimes in their entirety, so I wouldn't know where to rank them at all. ~Lost~Season 2 & 3 ~SPOILERS INSIDE!~
^ Well more than that, if I remember right, I think that there's some timeline problems too... Locke's accident happened about 4 years before the plane went down, while Hurley's crazyness seems to have happened just a few months before the island.
