'The Scientist' is not exactly hard to accidentally rip. It's pretty simple. It's not a slight against the song; the simplicity is what makes it so beautiful, but if they had ripped off a song like 'Daylight' or something (Which has a strange key signature and chord progressions as well as a weird rythmn and melody) then I could see the point of this thread. And yes... Sum 41 does indeed suck.

Coldplay don't have easy albums. They've always had tension recording every album.

Phil = Phil Harvey, the band's first manager and "fifth member" as proclaimed by the band. He took a break after Parachutes wo get a degree of some kind and apperantly he's back.

I'm seriously loving this new website. It's really quite cool of them to do this for us. :) And if Prospeckt isn't Phil, I'll eat my hat (To take a page from Dave Holms' book)

Did anyone see the new entries at Coldplay.com? Chris posted an equipment list that they had written ALONG TIME AGO, and they had a list for each of the guys and for Jonny it was "Jonnyboy". :D

He's at their studio in that pic. And I love that part in that one video where he starts to try to stand on his head when their in the middle of a very important reheresal. I can see it now: Chris: Come on and sing it now, Now, now, now Come on and sing to me-- "Hey..." *struggles to stand on head* "Ibet I could stand on my head if I do this...."

With this new website, signed merchandise in the shop, the Christmas video, the return of Phil Harvey (???!!!!!!), and the building of a new studio, it's as if Coldplay is not only down-sizing and returning to their more personal, subdued roots, but also as if they manage themselves. I mean... everything about the website is their doing. Yeah sure, they had techno-geek people to help them put it up, but the band themselves are updating this site. God this is so cool. All the signs are very good. I'm excited.

Yes. Definitely more personal. I think it was very cool of them to put something like this together. And appearantly it'll be updated fairly regularly, so that's good. :D It's very interesting watching all the videos of them reflecting. :) The old Coldplay's starting to show. And is Phil REALLY back? Because if so, I think I'll just wet myself a little.
