I'd love to see them go through with the atonal guitar and bas distortion they were experimenting with during soundchecks. I think that would be an amazing direction for them to take. Also, I'd love to see them expand instrumentally. Like throwing some random auxillary percussion in there (They used ALOT in Sleeping Sun). And maybe using some brass? Alot of my very favorite artists (Radiohead, Sufjan Stevens, Sigur ros) use brass in some of their songs (With Sufjan, almost all) and I find that I enjoy it alot and it really adds alot. I think some electronic experimentations would also be a good thing as well. But all-in-all, I just want to see a return to their more alternative roots. Not to say that I want another Rush of Blood or Parachutes, just a more Alt album. X&Y was much more rock and, don't get me wrong, had some very good songs on it, but I don't think Coldplay is really designed to be a rock band. I just want something different. Very different. If it's different, then it'll most likely blow everything else out of the water.

I really like NIN. My friend went and saw them last week. She said it was amazing. I've never thought about it, but that would be interesting I suppose.

"coldplay makes me forget pain or feeling like a plane of existence" I whole-heartedly agree with her. Coldplay have the uncanny ability to make people feel like they aren't alone. To make them feel as if the song that they;re listening to was written about them. Whenever I have a trying day or get in a bad fight with my mom or am just generally down, I always turn on some Coldplay, no matter who else I may be listening to at the time. Like lately I've been listening to nothing but Radiohead, but today I was feeling pretty down bacuse of a friend who's in the hospitol and I've been listening to nothing but Coldplay all day. My sister, who hardly ever listens to Coldplay regularly, has been listening to them religiously lately due to events in her life. Do you feel the same? Has Coldplay's music helped you through tough times? What do you think it is about Coldplay songs that make them so comforting and relatable for millions of people?
