The forum seems to be down all the time lately :(

Espero que toquen AL MENOS Charlie Brown y Hurts Like Heaven del MX porque muero de ganas de escucharlas en vivo, aunque seguramente tocarán ETIAW y Paradise :( I hope they AT LEAST play Charlie Brown and Hurts Like Heaven from MX cause I'm hear them live, I'm sure they'll play ETIAW and Paradise though :(

Me parece muy raro que no hayan abierto aún una fecha más en Foro Sol... I think it's really strange that they haven't announced a second Foro Sol gig yet...

I'll be more than happy if they play AHFOD, Birds, Everglow, Army of One and HFTW, they'll obviously play Up&Up and AOAL...

This song is growing on me like crazy , its going to be the Ink of this album for me because at first I didnt like Ink when GS leaked but, by the time the actual album was released, I had come to love it and now it is one of my favourites from GS, same thing with this one, at first i was like MEEEH but now i like it a lot!

Here's the thing, i absolutely LOVE this song but it makes me angry because Chris has been telling whoever will listen that they are not a rock band anymore and Birds just proves to me that they are a better band when they write/play rock songs, albeit a soft rock song but its still rock and its easily the best track on the album...

^ Agreed, they never play Sparks or Warning Sign or Amsterdam and they are great, beautiful songs. I see them playing Everglow and maybe Birds (it could replace GPASUYF as the rockier song on the setlist)

Alright, now that i have a clear head and the excitement from yesterday has subsided i have a few thoughts regarding the album: 1. AHFOD is a GREAT opener, they sure know how to open an album, i can already see myself jumping to it at the beginning of next year's concert with the xylobands glowing. 2. Birds is probably my favourite song from the last 2 albums, it makes me really angry because Chris has been saying that they are no longer a rock band and that's fine, i'm not one of those Oldplayer nazis who only likes the first 3 albums, i thoroughly enjoy ALL of their music but Birds just proves that that type of soft rock is that they do best, it's a fucking amazing song. 3. HFTW is a fine song, the chorus is really catchy, i can't really see the Holi video go along with that song, right now i really see that type video going along with the AHFOD song but hey, we'll have to wait till we see it right? 4. Everglow has gotten a bit of hate and i really don't get why, i absolutely LOVED IT , i needed a Coldplay ballad in that tempo, those are the best and the lyrics are really touching (O was great too slow and melancholic). 5. Fun is my least favourite song so far but i can listen to it, i just don't like it as much as the other songs. Another's Arms was my least favourite song off of GS and i couldn't listen to it from start to finish so i guess that means that (for me, at least) this album is better right? 6. Army of One is growing on me just like Ink did from GS, i didn't like Ink at all when i first listened to it and now it's one of my favourites from GS. 7. Could Up&Up be the worst closer in a Coldplay album? I sort of liked it but I think it is one of the worst closers, along with Twisted Logic (i really, reeeeally don't like that song) Overall, i think AHFOD is a better album than GS but still below par, Birds gives me hope that they can still write and perform really great rock songs so i'm not disappointed, just really looking forward to the tour, it's been 5 years since i last saw them live :)

So, Birds is the best Coldplay song in a while, i actually quite like the first four songs, i dont get all the Everglow hate :( i was wondering if anyone has found out where the snippet they sang during UATW came from? Which song is it in?

I wouldnt go as far as to say that it's better than Warning Sign but i loved it, it's a beautiful song, it almost made me cry when I first listened to it :')

^ But some people heard it on the the iHeart Radio launch party, they played it there :( wish they had played it yesterday, I really want to hear it!

I caved and listened only to AHFOD yesterday, it is a great album opener, will be a great opener on the tour and it does sound a little bit like U2. I can't wait for december 4th or whenever this thing leaks.

I know this is going to be a really unpopular opinion but this lady in my office is listening to Miracles and i just realised that i really like that song, sure, its poppy but i like it a lot...

Really psyched that Everglow is a ballad but really bummed that two of the most interesting sounding tracks are nothing but interludes :(

I'm seriously considering changing my approach with this release and not watching any more live performances or listening to any new songs until december 4th, this is shaping up to be a very interesting era and i want to be surprised (for better or for worse) with the album when it comes out. It'll be hard though cause I'm one of those people who wakes up at 3 am to catch live performances and listen to world premieres and stuff but the wait for the album will be really short this time so maybe i'll be able to do it, the only exception i would make would be if they release the Holi video before the release of the album...

So, the live version.. What do you reckon?

I just read that they wanted to shed the concept of being a rock band so yeah, i think plenty of people here will be dissapointed come december 4th :/
