Is there a thread for a potential 2016 tour setlist? I can't wait for the tour to begin...

I'm not crazy about AHFOD but I'm still going to the 3 Mexico City dates, seeing them live is always a great experience and, having missed the MX tour, I have to make up for that, I want to see a stadium full of Xylobands, I want to hear Charlie Brown live and jump to it, I want to be showered by confetti during ASFOS and sing along to Up&Up and Everglow, I want to hear Birds live... :)

I think it's time they took a female backup singer with them on tour so they can sing Princess of China (I don't really like that song a lot but they might play it), Fun and HFTW.

It annoys me when I'm sure that he's singing one thing and then the official lyrics say otherwise, two examples are when I thought he was saying "when I'm cold you are oohhh the sun" and the official lyrics say "in water rolled, salt" (which doesn't even make sense, btw) or the part where I was sure he said "there's a feeling WITHIN me, Everglow" and apparently he says "there's a feeling YOU GIVE ME". End of rant.

At first listen I didn't like Fun at all, I skipped it the first 5 or 6 times I listened to the album but it's grown on me like crazy, it's a really good song and the kind of duet that serves a purpose, unlike Princess of China, now Fun is one of my top 3 songs in AHFOD.

Yeah but it isnt a Christmasy album right? At least i dont see it that way, I mean, HFTW isn't exactly a Christmas tune..

If LP7 was just a huge cash grab, they would have released it next spring for HFTW to be the big summer song, they definitely would not have released it in December and they certainly would not have released it two weeks after Adele's record dropped. I'm definitely an ups and downs guy like Chris so I totally feel this record's songs, I really like the melancholy in songs like Everglow and Fun but also dig the fun and upbeat tracks like Birds and AHFOD. I prefer this honest take on their current lifes to Adele's hypocrisy (I don't know if I spelled that right, sorry) because she's always saying how happy she is now and how hard it was to write the new record's sad songs because she's not miserable anymore, I'd rather they write happy songs if they are happy and not a fake Parachutes 2.0 just to please Oldplayers. When I became a Coldplay fan, I was an angsty 15 year old, 15 years have passed and they're still my favorite band, their songs still speak to me and they still give me goosebumps like no other band can. I wish every Coldplayer, old and new, could feel this way about AHFOD.

When I first listened to the leak, I didnt like Fun, it was the only song on the album I didnt like but it has grown on me a lot, it is a great song

This album's first four songs are SOOOOO GOOD. I know HFTW has it's share of haters but i think it's a great, catchy af song. Also, i dont know if this has been discussed but the quality improved a lot from the leak, Birds sounds so much clearer now, as does AHFOD. Has anyone shared the official Birds lyrics yet? I haven't gotten the chance to go pick up my copy of the album...

So, The record player in the latest image they tweeted has AOAL, HFTW, Everglow and Birds written on it, I'm willing to bet those will be the singles :)

As jc90 says, I ranked it low because some album has to be low on the list but I actually like it a lot :p

Personally, i don't dislike it, i just think it's too bloated but it has some of the best Coldplay songs in it, songs i regularly listen to. Also, it contains the only Coldplay song that i don't like AT ALL: Twisted Logic.

Anyone else think Everglow will be the 3rd single? I like it A LOT :cool:

I've been wanting to post this since monday, my opinion of the album has changed drastically since then. Yes, I downloaded the leak last friday and yes, I will be buying the album in physical and in iTunes formats. Anyway, the first two or three times that I listened to it I was like MEH, then AHFOD started to grow on me, as did Army of One, that one grew on me like crazy. I liked Birds from the get-go, it may be my favourite Coldplay song in the last 4 years but i like the record more and more each time i listen to it, this is the exact opposite reaction that I had with Ghost Stories, the shine wore off of that one real quick and I only ended up REALLY liking 3 or 4 songs from it, I regularly listen to it from start to finish and the only song I skip is Another's Arms. Now that the dust has settled a little bit, I would confidently rank the albums like this: 1. Parachutes 2. AROBTTH 3. VLVODAAHF 4. MX/AHFOD 5. X&Y 6. Ghost Stories
