  1. At first, i didn't like the song that much, it was like the tempo was off (IMO) and i dunno, i was little bit 'meeeehhhhh' for the first listens but it has definitely been a grower for me and now i can't stop listening to it, i still prefer it from 2:20 onwards, that part of the song is as good anything Coldplay has released lately or maybe even better, that burst of music after 'i... i'm about to explode' is exactly how i would've liked the Charlie Brown "light a fire" part to be recorded. A very good song to add to the Coldplay canon, not unworthy. PS: The lyric video was AMAZING, i think that me liking it so much now has a lot to do with that video, seeing the 'carry your world' part with the lightbursts really gave me goosebumps :)
  2. She can just post the link to the page where the scans are uploaded... can't she?
  3. Please scan it so a lot of us can read it, they had a few in stock here in Mexico City but i don't live there and i couldn't buy it, as soon as i have a credit card i'll buy the lot from the official store but i want to read them as they're released, i would greatly appreciate it if you could post the scans or just PM them to me, thanks a lot

I was massively excited when the album came out, i am one of those folks that stays up all night waiting for the premiere of a song or a live stream of a show so the build-up to the release of MX was brutal. When it came out, i genuinely liked some songs but others i felt that i was forcing myself into liking, i thought the production on Charlie Brown was poor, it could've been such a classic song and it ended up just being a really good one, i liked HLH a lot, i thought it was as good as the live version and i REALLY liked UATW, i think it is one of their finest acoustic songs, all of these first impressions remain true today but i have come to appreciate DLIBYH and UWTB a lot, they are really good songs and i think they fit in nicely in the tracklisting. I'm not the biggest fan of UFO and Paradise but the latter made a really good single and it earned the boys a #1 in the charts so i'll give it a pass. Overall,i think that Mylo Xyloto is a good but a little longer than necessary (and at this point i dare you guys to give me an example of albums by greats bands that dont have at least one filler in them) album that rests nicely along with X&Y in the bottom tier of their discography and also one that contains songs i really enjoy listening to 16 months on.
  5. DLIBYH on the DVD is pure perfection (even though Chris screws up the lyrics in the second chorus)
  6. The rarest one i own is the vinyl Violet Hill/A Spell A Rebel Yell single that NME gave away prior to the release of VLVODAAHF...
  7. Openers: Politik < Don't Panic < Life In Technicolor < Square One < MX/HLH Closers: Twisted Logic < DAAHF < Everything's Not Lost < Up With The Birds < Amsterdam :)
  8. I don't think that anything U2 have put out recently can be labelled a 'masterpiece'
  9. I've come to the conclusion that i'm the only one on this forum who likes the Charlie Brown video :p
  10. Uuuuuuuhhhhhh... WHERE THE HECK IS MEXICO?!?!?! :(
  11. The Silencers (moderators) won't let you post it here but i would greatly appreciate it if you PM'ed it to me since i'm planning on buying it anyways once it's released here in México :)
  12. I don't think they would, that's why i don't plan to upload it for everybody to download if i get my hands on it, it's just for my personal rabid fanboy fulfillment.
  13. That's easy for you to say, you probably already have it. I don't have a credit card so i can't buy it from the Coldplay shop and, even if i could, it would take weeks to get here. I still plan on buying the official release (as i have always done with everything Coldplay-related) however i can so i don't see what's the problem with letting us less unfortunate fans have a look at it.
  14. My feelings exactly. They do sell Bongo Comics here in Mexico but it'll be a while before they start selling the Mylo Xyloto one. A PM would be great because i obviously plan on buying it as soon as they start selling it.
  15. Not all of us can buy it as soon as it's available commercially, at least not here in México. Please post it online, i promise i'll buy it as soon as it comes out in my country :)
  16. Frankly, i'm surprised that MX/Hurts Like Heaven isn't getting more votes. For me, it would be... Opener: MX/HLH or Don't Panic Closer: Amsterdam or Up With The Birds
  17. It hasn't changed that much, i stand by my first claims that this is probably their second best album, i've been obsessed with Charlie Brown, HLH and UATW since the record came out and that hasn't changed, i've grown to like Up In Flames and DLIBYH much more than i did last year, overall, i still think it's an excellent, cohesive and accomplished album with some minor technical (and by 'technical' i mean Brian Eno) flaws.
  18. Yellow in 2000 and it changed my life, it was so good that i wanted to listen to the rest of the record so i went out and bought Parachutes (this was before the iTunes/P2P days) and they became my favourite group :)
  19. I'm a Coldplay fan since the Yellow video came out and i have to strongly disagree with this, i actually think that VLV is a collection of songs that sometimes don't have much to do with each other, most of them are GREAT songs but it's not as cohesive an album as MX. I think that MX has one song that could be considered 'filler' and that song is UFO but other than that, they are all good to great songs that make an excellent album :)
  20. You are definitely not alone, i think it's awesome, we can't expect them to keep making videos of Chris walking on a beach (and, just so it's clear, Yellow is my favourite video ever and it's the reason why i fell in love with the song and with Coldplay) and i think the Charlie Brown video really suits the vibe and energy of the song perfectly, i think it really captures the escence of some moments of the song, like the piano ending when everyone is really mellow and they share that intimate moment amongst all those people or the moment after the 'all the boys, all the girls...' part when the song explodes towards the ending and there are fireworks in the video, that's exactly how i feel every time i listen to the song when it gets to that part... i REALLY liked it, i gave it a 10 :)
  21. MX/Hurts Like Heaven Square One Don't Panic Life In Technicolor Politik
  22. Also 'Sparks' and 'Up With The Birds' would be nice :)
  23. A Hopeful Transmission / Don't Let It Break Your Heart That song must be religion live, i don't get why they haven't played it yet, i was so sure they were going to debut it live at the Madrid gig :(
