Well I think it's just the nature of that outfit. Debs said that only Will and Chris' wives had babies on the way... I'm sure someone's going to ask her again, though, in light of these new pictures. We'll know soon enough.

Bush Proposes New Amendment to Congress
Truer words have never been said. It's almost like racism. Someone was on a show saying that they knew that black people weren't horrible, weren't anything they thought, but they just couldn't shake it because they had just been RAISED that way. They had the same idea towards women, that they were weak and useless. It's incredible what the environment you grow up in can do to your mind. (For the record, I'm not comparing racism to views towards gays, but hell it's still pretty similiar.) I think another aspect of it is maturity. I've always felt that I think on a slightly higher level than a lot of people around me. The guys in my class are incredibly anti-gay, anti-liberal, pro-war, pro-guns, pro every "right wing" ideal you could whip up. I live in a completely white, completely Christian, completely republican, small town. It's absolutely sickening after living here for the amount of time I have. When we have debates in history class, the guys always talk about these stupid things like how weird gays are, and how marriage is for a man and a woman. They just spit out the same things I've heard thousands of people yapping on about. None of them know what marriage even IS (except something their parents are failing at). They talk like children who open their mouths, have a bunch of ideals and morals poured in, mixed around, then they spit it all back out. I, at least, have researched my stuff, I can back it up, I can discuss it in a calm and articulate way. But they never care about that. And I don't know what gives people who happen to have those certain ideas the ability to be so damn dismissive and pigheaded. Maybe as they get older and their minds mature more they'll learn that sometimes you just need to shut up and listen.

Bush Proposes New Amendment to Congress
Except you wouldn't feel anything, 'cos you'd be dead!! That's a really really really good point! ahahaha so basically that whole insulting argument is completely worthless. Then again, I think any argument that I've had with certain people on here has been worthless. No one is ever willing to listen and attempt to expand upon their closed minds. It's a damn shame.

Leaving the comment below because, although it doesn't fit into the marriage discussion, its still an opinion which isn't harming anyone. [Jenjie] I probably will:) And I'll feel proud because I'll have known I was right about nuclear power being nothing but bad;) FOR EVERYONE. I <3 Iran!:D :dozey:

Have you ever dreamt of Coldplaying?
I think I've had dreams where feelings I had whilst posting just carried over into my unconcious patterns. Like if I get really upset about someone calling me retarded because of my political views, then I have a dream about going on a crazy rampage through the White House.... LOL!!! And something in my unconcious is telling me that I HAVE had dreams slightly related to this (like I've mentioned the place to someone in my dream). But I don't remember at all.

How often do you think about suicide?
I used to think about suicide every day. And I mean really...... I would read the tylenol bottles to see how big a dose it takes to be deadly... eh. I don't so much anymore, at least not in a realistic way. It's more "I can't believe I thought that/almost did that" and how it would have been if I HAD. I've gotten over that.... thankfully!:)

Bush Proposes New Amendment to Congress
Glad to know you wrote the bible.:) Oh you people are so high and mighty. The reason gays and lesbians want to marry are not because of religion (even though that IS a plus to it). They want the LEGAL RIGHTS that come along with it. That MAN created. Learn some of the legal and practical ways that getting married changes your life. Whether or not you favor marriage as a social institution, there's no denying that it confers many rights, protections, and benefits -- both legal and practical. Some of these vary from state to state, but the list typically includes: Tax Benefits * Filing joint income tax returns with the IRS and state taxing authorities. * Creating a "family partnership" under federal tax laws, which allows you to divide business income among family members. Estate Planning Benefits * Inheriting a share of your spouse's estate. * Receiving an exemption from both estate taxes and gift taxes for all property you give or leave to your spouse. * Creating life estate trusts that are restricted to married couples, including QTIP trusts, QDOT trusts, and marital deduction trusts. * Obtaining priority if a conservator needs to be appointed for your spouse -- that is, someone to make financial and/or medical decisions on your spouse’s behalf. Government Benefits * Receiving Social Security, Medicare, and disability benefits for spouses. * Receiving veterans' and military benefits for spouses, such as those for education, medical care, or special loans. * Receiving public assistance benefits. Employment Benefits * Obtaining insurance benefits through a spouse's employer. * Taking family leave to care for your spouse during an illness. * Receiving wages, workers' compensation, and retirement plan benefits for a deceased spouse. * Taking bereavement leave if your spouse or one of your spouse’s close relatives dies. Medical Benefits * Visiting your spouse in a hospital intensive care unit or during restricted visiting hours in other parts of a medical facility. * Making medical decisions for your spouse if he or she becomes incapacitated and unable to express wishes for treatment. Death Benefits * Consenting to after-death examinations and procedures. * Making burial or other final arrangements. Family Benefits * Filing for stepparent or joint adoption. * Applying for joint foster care rights. * Receiving equitable division of property if you divorce. * Receiving spousal or child support, child custody, and visitation if you divorce. Housing Benefits * Living in neighborhoods zoned for "families only." * Automatically renewing leases signed by your spouse. Consumer Benefits * Receiving family rates for health, homeowners', auto, and other types of insurance. * Receiving tuition discounts and permission to use school facilities. * Other consumer discounts and incentives offered only to married couples or families. Other Legal Benefits and Protections * Suing a third person for wrongful death of your spouse and loss of consortium (loss of intimacy). * Suing a third person for offenses that interfere with the success of your marriage, such as alienation of affection and criminal conversation (these laws are available in only a few states). * Claiming the marital communications privilege, which means a court can’t force you to disclose the contents of confidential communications between you and your spouse during your marriage. * Receiving crime victims' recovery benefits if your spouse is the victim of a crime. * Obtaining domestic violence protection orders. * Obtaining immigration and residency benefits for noncitizen spouse. * Visiting rights in jails and other places where visitors are restricted to immediate family. So gays and lesbians don't deserve things that people take for granted, that are COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO RELIGION AND TRADITION.

Well, I'm on for the rest of the night (I'm on right now, too, but you're away;) ). If Nadia comes on later we can make a chat. If not, then feel free to IM me and we can discuss. I don't have much new stuff to add though.... Hm. I think I'll start looking around the internet again and finding some new sites.

- Vote Chris as Sexiest Vegetarian!
I voted for Joaquin. He might have lost the Oscars, but I'll be damned if he's not the sexiest....! hahaha- Iran ready for showdown with US: former president
omg tit. LMFAO!!!!!! *high five Gareth* that was awesome I don't trust American news networks with anything. But dude, any channel that has Bill O'Reilly on it is conservative. LMFAO you've got to be kidding me.- Vote Chris as Sexiest Vegetarian!
OH MY GOD. I don't know whether to vote for Larry Mullen Jr. or Joaquin Phoenix (I voted for Chris last year, or the year before me thinks). AGH *RIPS HAIR OUT*- Jezebell opening 20/4 *pics*
The lesbian in me is actually jealous of Guy. But the domanent half of me is jealous of her. But yeah, she's really pretty and I love her hair. Fuck. She looks like one of my friends....:stunned: Thanks so much for these pictures, shit, Jonny is a silly looking drunk. It's adorkable.- CCC [Overview]: Suggest ideas here
Read the first page, I think I'm going to get in touch with Nadia and Allie to try and write up a new update!:)- Top 100 albums of all time (chosen by Irish artists)
Hey, they've got pretty good taste lol. I voted: 1. Bob Dylan-Blonde On Blonde 2. U2-Achtung Baby 3. The Beatles-Revolver 4. Radiohead-Ok Computer 5. Bob Dylan-Highway 61 Revisited My reason for number 1: Bob Dylan is, in my opinion, the most influential artist to have ever graced the earth during the 20th century. On this album he proved that, singing with a tongue on fire. It also holds two of my favorite songs of all time: Visions Of Johanna and Rainy Day Women. From start to finish it is a masterpiece. lmfao yeah, I'm going through another Bob Dylan thing. But it's the truth, he's my numero uno musical idol. I couldn't vote for Coldplay because..... well.... none of their albums match up to the five I listed, no matter how much they mean to me.- The Coldplaying Charity Club info
Thanks for bumping this up Rick, and I'm glad to hear you're in on it too!!:) Now, I know that a lot of long time members hang out here in the lounge. But I've been shocked at how little interest a lot of the older members have shown! It's really great that we're having a huge burst of interest from the newbies group (people with one or two posts coming over and saying that they'll help in any way). But c'mon guys, you've been here the longest and know how to get people excited about things around here. I don't know if all the PMs I sent out were enough. Kind of disapointed in ya loungers....- Gigs you're looking forward to
Radiohead June 4th or 5th (I haven't gotten tickets yet but OH I will!) Arctic Monkeys-June 15th! SO EXCITED! Oxegen Festival, this July (which I'll spend my 18th birthday at!) I love all the bands that are playing, oh man I'm excited. And hopefully more bands announce dates, like Keane, soon!- Bush Proposes New Amendment to Congress
True. I mean, this country was SUPPOSEDLY founded on the basis of freedom for all (even though it really wasn't, Jefferson was off doing his slave while writing the declaration of independence wasn't he? And women didn't get to vote 'til the 20s, didn't they? Amazing how two sided this place really is and was). So now we're sort of facing the same thing that we've faced in the past, a group of people who want equal rights, much like the blacks did in the 60s. So why can't we just do it for them? It's not going to hurt anyone. It's not going to shut the church down. - Vote Chris as Sexiest Vegetarian!
