  1. I didn't know about this. I found it on YouTube and downloaded it as soon as I could - it will be taken down soon I'm sure. Unfortunately the Later With Jools Holland clip with Get You Down by Sam Fender was taken down a few days after I found it, and being a clean version of the awesome live version I loved it. Until it became a private video that is. As for the leak itself... It's simultaneously spectacular and disappointing at the same time. It is amazing to have a crisp version of the song, even though it isn't the crispiest we can get thanks to YouTube compression. The full song is quite relaxing and hearing the part at the end we've been looking for years for is well worth the wait. However, I had learnt how that ending sounds based on the documentary clip, and it was much more bassy and 'meaty' than what we have. The newly leaked version sounds very empty in comparison. In fact I went into Audacity to check my theory, and with a bit of a bass boost it still didn't sound as energetic as the AHFOD leak but did sound better. Having access to the full version I can see why the song was shelved, it's just too simplistic in this form. Weirdly the Ghost Stories version(s) were much better in this regard and like Break Of Dawn and Lethal Drug could realistically be released with few changes. The second Ghost Stories version with the epic guitar riff takes the take for me when it comes to versions of The Race; the song just sounds fuller. But with some remixing, the new version will have the best ending, but the other version also has the best ending. These are the struggles of a The Race fan.
  2. Would you consider trying to remaster the version of The Race from the AHFOD documentary?
  3. Just for context, I meant Live In Sao Paulo, the concert film, which was terribly mixed, focusing solely on Chris' singing and nothing else.
  4. Here's A View From The Top.
  5. I guess you made quite the AI then! Do you plan on using it elsewhere? This could be an amazing tool not just for live recordings; it could be used to remaster tracks for example. Even more exciting is that it could make A View From The Top audible, and perhaps boost Chris' lyrics in Lukas. Seriously, this AI needs releasing.
  6. Wow! That's really good. It's not perfect but it's clearer than it's ever been. If a studio version releases* it'll be interesting to see how different the recordings are, bar the slight audience noise. That said, near the end there is a weird noise, like a car horn or something - is that part of the actual song? *Of course, since A Wave is not performed live it already is a studio version, just one that is not yet publicly available.
  7. Well, it's certainly a good effort. I assume you didn't just use Audcaity - what's the process like?
  8. Wow... How did you make this?
  9. Hopefully the live album is mixed better than Live In Buenos Aires!
  10. No extended version 😭 No b-side 😭
  11. The peaceful intro at the start followed by the explosive bit before the song starts is really good - was it only a part of this version or was it released elsewhere?
  12. In this trailer and in the lobby when waiting for the Joytopia there was this odd ambient music which I have tried to find using Shazam, but I have had no luck finding out what it is. Is it a Coldplay song? Or something generic that just is too obscure to find online?
  13. Most likely. Alternatively it might be Weirdo, as this is roughly when we'd start to see things for a Winter album or EP release.
  14. I think I'd want to get rid of some of the songs they play too much, but then I'd have to say I'd want Coloratura over any other song as replacement, when in reality I'd love Square One to come back, or for them to play I Ran Away, Gravity or Don't Let It Break Your Heart as well.
  15. Xylobands are given on the way in I believe, and work throughout the area. They respond to signals so won't work when you get home (although they can be modified to partially work but that's for you to do - for the A Head Full Of Dreams ones at least).
  16. What about second favourite track?
  17. Goes well with the rest of the MX references - Coldplay probably see MOTS as a sequel to Mylo Xyloto anyway.
  18. The extended version of Biutyful they played at the Weirdos concert was really cool. The song 'Weirdo' is set to be their best song ever, although that may just be marketing and it's just be a load of crap. Robots is another confirmed song. With two new songs confirmed, it will be interesting to see if their next release - MOTSv2 or not - is an EP or full album. It will also be interesting to see if The Race is included.
  19. The reprise version? There are some real unreleased gems in the documentary, including Amphora by Jon Hopkins and of course The Race.
  20. I've just been watching the AHFOD documentary and somewhere near the 15 minute mark there's an ambient piece that sounds strikingly like A Wave. I haven't got to the credits yet so it might be something else, but it might be worth looking into it. There are other tracks, including one that seems to be based on Midnight. It would be really nice to have these released some day.
  21. Almost certainly as one of the 3. If it was MOTS2 and 3 PLUS three more albums Coldplay will definitely not be able to finish by 2025.
  22. I'm not sure if it counts but when I listen to Light Through The Veins by Jon Hopkins I can always hear in my head The Escapist. My brain also likes to combine Coldplay songs, like when I could hear Gravity with the lyrics of another song (possible Ink?) But to answer the question directly, Don't Let It Break Your Heart had at the start a bit where he says "If I lost it all" but I heard it as "If I lost you all" which actually isn't a bad lyric change.
  23. My personal favourite ending song was Up&Up, it was the perfect feel-good ending song. I think Coloratura is a very good song to end with but is probably a bit too slow at the end - perhaps it could have ended after the final chorus and transition to A Wave like Up&Up transitioned to End Credits.
  24. AUROW1 likely has something to do with Aurora. I have a theory though... AURO means Aurora. W1 could be World 1 - perhaps Aurora will be the first planet of MOTS2? Alternatively, what if W stands for Wave? I don't know.
  25. A week ago a new version was uploaded to YouTube, with different mixing, possibly altered lyrics and featuring SZA.
