There is a radio DJ from Mexico City ( The radio station is Reactor 105.7 FM) who happens to be a huge fan of britpop. He has his own website where he writes about several topics. Ive got to say that he has certain level of reputation and he is trustworthy when it comes an announcement of any show or news from some bands. He wrote some minutes ago about Coldplay and the NME vinyl thing. But what is important from all of this is that he mentioned that, according to a reliable source, the new single will be played next monday. this person said s/he heard it via iPod S/he said s/he could not check the watch to verify S/he listened to it a few times So...how come she or he had the chance to listen several times the track and yet s/he is not aware of the lenght of the track? Yes, you've got it right. Maybe with this video it will be ever more clear. The video is taken from the day we celebrate our independence day. The president goes to a balcony at the National Palace and starts saying the names of the men who gave us our independence ("Viva (name of the guy)", and then the crowd yells back with a "Viva"; finally he says "Viva Mexico" and thats it. Obviously the president kind of overacts the screaming and yelling cus you know, he is supposed to be the man who leads the country and must show he is a 'strong' guy who can handle it as well, you know what i mean. Viva La Vida can have different meanings,but i dont know what was Chris' interpretation about it cus it depends on how it was translated to him One meaning could be if you use it as follow: Sir, you should live (the) life. I think Long Live Life is totally correct, because coming from Frida Kahlo, and as you already know she was Mexican, Viva La Vida has a meaning such as "Hurray For Life", or for example if you say "Viva Coldplay" it would be something like "Cheers for Coldplay", "Hurray for Coldplay" The local meaning of "Viva (whatever you want)" is like exclaiming something, like shouting and celebrating it I dont know if you get my point lol And finally, here it is a picture from last year when Coldplay came to Mexico City.
