What are the odds of MM having another epic like Coloratura? Chris initially saying the album would be 9 songs long bodes well for this. However disappointment is the name of the game as far as Coldplay goes at the moment, so it would be foolish to expect it.

No disrespect to Jin, but he made it sound like a big pop song which, yeah, makes sense. But the Coldplay version has this raw, intimate feeling and is probably the most sweet and romantic I've heard Chris since probably Strawberry Swing. I'm sure Max Martin would've knocked all the emotion out of it had they decided to use it on MOTS, but this demo is really nice to have.

Is there a particular reason why The Astronaut still hasn't leaked yet? That's the only one of the original snippets still outstanding afaik (except Jupiter which I'm happy to wait for, and Life is Beautiful but I've given up on that one).

Quite a nice ambient album is forming out of the MOTS/MM era. So far I’ve got a playlist like this Earthling Human Heart One World Coloratura A Wave I suppose you could add stuff like Infinity Sign and Alien Choir to that as well. If there’s more stuff like that on MM, I’ll be very happy.

The Coldplay version of Love is a Mighty River is just as beautiful as I was hoping. Like I get they wanted to gift it to Merry Clayton, but man, why couldn't have this been on the album?

A lot better than I was expecting based on the snippets. It's a neat chill soulful thing.

The fact we got Spanish Rain and Wedding Bells at all surprises me. And the fact that Spanish Rain is exactly what I wanted it to be. And the added lyrics to FOB only make it more beautiful, even after all these years. Then there's some of the original EL songs (Everyday Life, Broken, even Arabesque to an extent) sounding nothing like how the album versions would turn out to be. Maybe the biggest surprise to me was Earthling. Way more beautiful than an Angel Moon song has any right to be.
