I found the file, as I started watching it but decided to finish watching it later. I copied the file to my desktop and opened with a Aero SWF Flash Player, but when I press play nothing plays :(

Anyone remember how long after album release dates the tab/piano books have come out? Whenever it comes out, which I hope it will, it'll look gorgeous - a lovely A4 book with that amazing artwork on the front. Yummy.

Just listened to it through headphones and I'm starting to wonder if there actually is any snare on it? There's some before the chorus/refrain, but I mean through the verse, is it just bass drum and some weird hi-hat pattern?

One of my favourite moments from today was when Jo Whiley said "you're website has crashed" and Chris and Jonny burst out laughing lol.

I have no idea what I was epecting, but these lyrics aren't what I expected at all, they're just incredible. The images I'm getting in my head from them, stunning. Prospket commented on his lyrcis a while back, and I'm seeing what he meant now. I really can't wait to see what else Chris has come up with.

When Jonny's guitar really kicked in I had that same smile/grin. I was just like "Yeahh, this is Coldplay, but on a whole new level". I'm so happy for them. Even from just this one song I can sense they've evolved as musicians so much from X&Y. I can't contain my excitement and I'm just so happy for C, J, G, W right now.

Like I already said, he could have gone for the safe route, but he tried something different to make the beat it more interesting. Not analysed the drums intensely, only listened to it 3 times. And also the crash in the song sounds particularly sweet.

Violet Hill is an excellent, amazing, great song in my opinion. As soon as it started, I had a mad grin on my face. The lyrics are unlike anything I've heard from Chris before, where Will may once have gone for the regular 4/4 bass drum and snare pattern he didn't, Jonny's guitar was just incredible. Can't wait to hear thr rest of the album. I am very happy!

You should know by now to take what Chris says with a pinch of salt, i.e. "there won't be any piano on the new album". It's creativity - you see what works, you try different things, you have a vision and you use what instruments you think will work best. Try saying you're going to eat a doughnut without licking your lips and see how long it takes before your actually start licking them.

Some of the lyrics are "Carnival of idiots"?????!!!!! OH MY GOD - anyone remember... he said that when he presented Zane Lowe's show with Simon Pegg!!!! We've had lyrics all this time and we didn't even realise!!!!!!!

Just incase it’s not already been said, some of you may have problems accessing the actual download once you’ve received the email. You have to copy and paste the whole link to your browser, as Hotmail and maybe some others for some reason don’t include the last couple of numbers/letters in the hyperlink. Otherwise you get asked for a username and password. Paste the WHOLE link and it will work.
