I'm liking all this talk of leaks. Is that inside info about the leakage that you have, or will it definitely probably (that makes no sense) get leaked early.

How do you know if a melody is good or not? I have loads but they just sound so average when I compare them to proper songs by famous bands.

Come Together by The Beatles. I wanna see Will doing the amazing drums like Chris said he did once while they were recording X&Y. The acoustic part of the show this time, if there is once, should be a Beatles song - like they did Johnny Cash last time.

Great stuff lol. Chris aint too bad at football, Will's great though. I love on the EPK when Chris does his impression of Ian McCulloch - "You've gotta have a 3/4 song on there Chris" in his husky voice.

Anyone got any stats on CD single sales from the last few years - do enough people still buy them to warrant the cost of producing and distributing them? Or are they dirt cheap to produce anyway? I'm just thinking, with Prospekt saying that 2 songs might be released independently, did he mean 2 songs that weren't on the album? Maybe Violet Hill is the lead single to build the hype and get people to buy the album and future singles will be songs not off the album, in order to make sure people download them... thereby guaranteeing they'll make more money off any single releases? You follow? No... ok, ignore me. Just a thought I had.

I've Googled this but still can't figure out if there is answer to this problem - I want to record audio on my laptop using 'What U Hear' in Audacity, but the 'What U Hear' option isn't showing up on my laptop. Does anyone know how I can? I've got an extenal soundcard, Creative Live SoundBlaster - would that be any help?

I am in the same boat as you. I'd love so much to be able to write something decent but I find it so difficult. The problem is, I don't know exactly what I care about. But when I hear other people's songs, it's like that song was written about me - why can't I channel my feelings the same way as Chris Martin or whoever else can.

I agree. I'd like to see some 'jamming' and 'going off on one' on stage, not for too long, just enough for them to show off their ability as musicians. I loved Low at Glastonbury 2005. The band just seemed so confident and into it, not they aren't always, but there was something special about that which I really like. Speed Of Sound live I'm not such a fan of. The piano riff doesn't have the same impact as it does on CD.

Yes absolutely. I'm sure it's the case with everyone, well, maybe not everyone, but a lot of people, that you feel like listening to totally different stuff every day. And Coldplare are always one of my favourites anyway. These 3 year waits are a bit of a pisstake though, but I won't complain too much. I know they want to get it perfect etc etc etc etc.
