  1. Animal Collective - Derek
  2. My tastes have broadened and changed since I first started listening to Coldplay. They'll always have a special place in my memory and heart, but I wouldn't say they are my absolute favorite band anymore either. I do however still consider myself a big fan, and I'm anxious for the next release! :nice:
  3. :nice: Aw, thanks all you lovely people for your happy birthday wishes (and cake)!! So very appreciated. I had a fun birthday - went to see that new movie, Enchanted. (If you want to see a modern Disney fairytale, that has old-style Disney charm...this is it.) And my family made me a feast for dinner. T'was a good birthday, indeed. :D
  4. Mew. Then Sigur Ros, Radiohead. (I think we have some sort of consensus here that Radiohead is a very very good band...:P)

(^Woah, who are you with 10000+ posts?...name-changer! And how do we pronounce your username??) So yes, it would be far simpler to send the files electronically. But the best things in life ain't always easy! :P Like it was suggested earlier, people who live relatively close-by could be paired up together. And we could write our CD swapping partner little handwritten notes, and decorate the CD case. Oooo. FUN.

Hey, this sounds like a fun idea in light of the holidays! It's loads more fun to receive something in the mail though, if that could be arranged....
  7. Quite right! :laugh4::laugh4: I have half a mind to think they'd actually do something like that for someone if asked nicely. So yeah, I'll er...give Johan a ring after breakfast. :wacky:

Yeahoo, a Mum thread! Was considering making one myself since they've been on heavy rotation for me for the past couple months. Makes for great driving music. :D I love the album ggstpi: fav tracks are A Little Bit, Sometimes and (of course) Dancing Behind My Eyelids (the 'tap dancing shoes' bit always makes me drum beat my fingers on the closest hard surface, lol)) Enjoy the Oslo concert, Einar. I can imagine that they are a whole lot of fun to see live.
  11. Oh geez yes, this happens to me all the time!! For example, when I decided to study anthropology at uni a few years back, it was suddenly anthro this and anthro that - in the news, in the papers, in books...:S and not only that, soon everyone and their uncle wanted to be an anthropology major too! Just weird. And Erin, that thing with you and Belgium? Same with me and Denmark. Although, I do have some 'connection' seeing as my favorite band is Danish, and my brother is currently studying over there...but it's too freaky to be mere coincidence. Perhaps god is telling me that I need to get my masters in Anthropology at the University of Copenhagen?! Humm. Happens with names too. Someone will mention a movie or book to me, that I'd NEVER heard of, then someone else will mention it to me the next day. What the heck. And lol @ Jenn. :laugh4:

  14. Here are few photos from my trip last week to Colorado for a dear friend's wedding: ^ Some bear. ^ Some mansion. ^ Some precariously balanced rock. ^ Some crazy girl. ^ Wedding! 15. My wisdom teeth are out - that was an interesting experience. I choose not to be put completely under, so they just numbed me up really good and started hacking away at my jaw! Nooooow, my face feels like a giant bruised balloon....I'm wondering how long it will take before I can recognize myself in a mirror.... Marmalade...mmm...yummy...
  16. I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled out tomorrow and I'm DREADING it. :cry2:

  20. Seconded. :shame: It's embarassing. If NSync comes up on shuffle...I DON'T CLICK SKIP, EVEN THOUGH I KNOW I SHOULD. :laugh4: Cheesy pop music is one of my guilty plezurz....in small, small doses.
  21. My votes for Aerial Fish too. If you ever want to "test" your music on willing audiences, you could always upload some sound clips for us once you get off the ground. :idea2: :nice: Good luck!

My awesome 3 octave Casio keyboard. :smug:
  24. Mmm, the title of this thread is misleading then. Although whether nukes are used are not, makes little difference. There would still be pain, suffering and serious long term consequences. :(
  25. Perhaps I didn't read the articles closely enough, but I don't think this administration has actually considered using nuclear weapons on Iran. Either way, a war in any shape or form would spell complete disaster for the region - as the article states, it would only incite more terrorist cells to become active and increase anti-US sentiments - not to mention, the hundreds of thousands of innocent casualties and refugees. The next presidential election can't get here soon enough, I'm afraid. :( If the threat of war becomes imminent, I hope the legislative branch has the good sense to impeach Bush and rid us of his idiocy. I do believe that Iran, with nukes, is a threat. However there are other ways to peacefully disarm a nation - diplomatic talks, trade sanctions, international pressure etc. A rush to war is the last thing we need...(again).
