I don't know - I think he seems more relaxed and happy now. I always think of the photos of him joking and mucking around in front of the paps at Perth airport with their assistant Arelene. I couldn't have imagined him doing that a few years ago. Also the girls who met him at the Bakery said he was really sweet and friendly - not shy or moody at all. His ex did say in her interview with the Times newspaper that they were better off/happier since the divorce. I guess sometimes people aren't meant to be together. I'm sure someone else is keeping him warm at night! ;) :P

All it makes me wonder is how this guy would have felt if a random stranger started snapping photos of his kid on the Dumbo ride? I bed he's freak out... I'd probably freak if some random man started snapping pictures of my little daughter. It's funny how some people completely lack any form of empathy for other people. He's not on a red carpet, he's at Disney World, minding his own business. He's not at work so why expect him to behave like he's a work. He's be more of jerk if he was posing for cameras and showing off his kids to everyone with a lens. People are weird. Or maybe just tragically desperate to get themselves in the papers...:rolleyes:

In a response filed in Los Angeles on Monday, attorneys for Coldplay's band members also argued that any similarities between "Viva La Vida" and Satriani's "If I Could Fly" weren't enough to warrant damages. Satriani's song "lacks originality," Coldplay's response claims, and shouldn't receive copyright protection. Satriani sued Coldplay in December, claiming the British band used "substantial, original portions" of Satriani's "If I Could Fly," which was released in 2004. Satriani's lawyer, Howard E. King, said Coldplay's response was typical for copyright infringement cases and he reiterated that he thought the matter could have been resolved without a lawsuit. Yes, of course they could have settled out of court - by handing over loads of cash to an undeserving idiot. I think they are pretty vicious everywhere... In the UK I think they have slightly better protection for children being harassed by photographers, hence fewer shots of children coming in and out of school. Several publications in the UK also have a policy to 'fuzz' out children's faces when they publish pictures. It's not perfect but it's better than publishing them.

I think it's great!:) Good to have a fanfic about Jonny & not just Jonny/Chris love. I like the banter between all the boys too. It sounds like it's written when he and his fiancee were really young, before they had Violet. Did you choose April as the girls name because it's your name ;) or just a name you like?

You're right - i've heard it too. It's an old quote from Jay-Z tagged on to a newer quote from Gwyneth. I kind of agree with you about the privacy thing. It's great to be private about your relationship but I can't help feeling it must make it almost just as hard trying to keep it so very separate and private. Hard work! It sounds like it is more Chris' choice to have it that strict. Gwyneth seems more open to talking a little about her private life. I guess she's more used to managing the media, having grown up with it.

Peardoor - how do you know so much detail about them? Do you know the band or their families?

I read somewhere that her line of clothes was something to do with raising money for a kids charity... does anyone know if this is true?

I can't quite remember when there is clapping throughout the show, apart from I definitely remember seeing Guy do it on stage for Strawberry Swing! The violins music was done live for the album by Davide Rossi (the Italian who plays with Goldfrapp) but he doesn't come with them so that must be played as a backing track. They open the show with the beginning of Life in Technicolor (like on the album) playing as they run on stage , so that isn't live. They actually start playing live with Violet Hill. I know both Jonny and Guy do some key board playing during the show which may account for some of the effects. Jonny does in Viva I think. Not sure though. I think you'd have to ask someone who'd been to a show more recently. I don't think they've been playing Reign of Love or Yes live. When you go and see them live I don't think you'll be disappointed. This tour was definitely the best concert of the theirs that I have ever been to. Hope you have fun when you do go :)

I think it's harsh to call Coldplay 'sellouts' just because they have changed their sound. The definition of selling out that you quote - "Anyone who sacrifices artistic integrity in an effort to become more successful or popular (generally in music); someone who forgets their roots" shouldn't be confused with evolving as musicians and being experimental. Coldplay didn't write X&Y or Viva only to sell millions of albums or be popular (they already were by then), as the boys have said in countless interviews, they did it because they wanted to try something different. That's not "forgetting their roots" - it's building on them and moving forward. If they had stuck with the very same sound as earlier they would probably have broken up by now, totally bored making the same old stuff. Whilst it's fine for you to miss the Parachutes and Rush of Blood sound, that is just your taste. Just because they moved on to try new things doesn't make them a sellout. They have still applied the same principles to their music style and they still sit down together as a band and write their own songs as they have always done, thus in my mind keeping their "artistic integrity". As for using backing tracks instead of bringing extra musicians along on tour to play the additional parts, I can see why they choose not to. The four of them have a really great dynamic and chemistry. I think a lot of their success is based on it being the four of them - all best friends on stage together is part of what people come to see. I think adding strangers to this would sort of kill the dynamic of their stage performance.

The guy's name was Davide Rossi. I think he is Italian and usually plays for Goldfrapp. I think he did an interview a while back when the album came out and it was posted on here. Do a search and you may find it. Otherwise he has a myspace page :)

Before this turns into another row about should or shouldn't's - maybe it's best if people just look at what they feel comfortable with and not comment on the choices of others. All that happens is it starts another round of arguing and upset. It keeps coming up and no one ever 'wins'. If you don't want to look at pap pics of Gywneth & family then stay out of those threads. And if you don't want to know about Joanna's facebook then keep out of that too. The only person that has the right to decide what goes on and doesn't go on this site is the owner, so there is no point in arguing about and upsetting each other. Raise it with the administrator on the site if you have a serious issue with it and then respect whatever decision they make.

They don't get cross like Chris but they generally just don't do it. I guess maybe they just don't get asked that much. They sometimes mention having kids and how that's impacted on their lives, but no detail. Which is good i guess ;)

I know they're not in depth details but you know what those Coldplay boys are like about their personal lives - Chris can't even say the word 'Gwyneth' in an interview! :lol:

I don't think anyone is bashing her. I think people are more surprised than disliking her. I think most people were just very surprised at how candid she was about their relationship during an interview. Guy has always been very private about his personal life so people were not expecting something so candid (it's that word again!) Also, it should be said that Joanna has made the decision to go public about their relationship and to open up her personal space to the media in order to promote her business. As a result she will have to accept that people are going to give their opinion on her style and choice of decor. It's not bashing her -that's just part of being a stylist or interior designer. Some people will like her style and some people will inevitably hate it. The people on this forum are no different and should be free to say whether they like her style or not, just as they can about any interior designer or magazine show home. She's using the media to promote herself and therefore I don't think she can expect no feedback from it. Sadly the same applies to their relationship. By being so candid about the details of their divorce to the media she has opened it up to speculation. Whilst the whole interview may not have been published, or she didn't intend so much detail to be printed may be true, but she's an adult who knows how the media works (she's seen the whole Chris/Gwyneth thing) and she knows that whatever she says in an interview is then available to print. She has chosen to 'go public' with some details and so is clearly not against it being out there. It's crazy to think that people aren't going to read that and have some opinion about it, whatever it may be. Anyway, my main point was that I really don't think people are bashing her as a person.

I agree - I think it's a really inappropriate thing to say in an interview. I don't think she meant it in a bad way but it does imply it's Guy's fault that they broke up, like he's a bad father who'd rather use his computer than see his family. Yet in the next sentence she's saying how they go on holiday together, come on tour, hang out, he moved nearby to be with his daughter as much as possible. That sounds like a good dad trying to make the best of a bad situation. I can't believe he went from one extreme to the other just because he's no longer married. It takes two to make a relationship work, whatever the circumstances. I'm not sure about being left at home with a new baby all on her own being the reason either. All the wives seem to bring their kids along with them. Will's tiny babies came on this tour and Jonny's girl too. I think there is probably a lot more to the whole thing that anyone can begin to understand and hopefully the details be kept private, as it should be.

One of the roadies needs to collect it up and bottle it. They could make a fortune selling 'eau de chris martin' to crazy coldplay fans. All the celebrities have their own perfume lines these days! Now I'm just grossing myself out! :lol:
