  1. :-) Not sure it'll go from itchy ears to anaphylactic shock, but might make you really miserable. I get unbearably sneezy when the weather changes (no joke). Take some allergy meds and chomp away!
  2. ?? I read the posts, didn't get off to them.
  3. Feel old reading a these; in my thirties. :-/
  4. If the Steelers take anything away from the Bears/Pack game defensively, Rodgers might not be so hot. Pittsburgh's defense is better than Chicago's, and red-hot Aaron was held to 16/29 passing for 235 yards, 2 interceptions and a 53.1 passer rating today. GB's defense is better than the Jets', but Caleb Hanie (who hasn't taken a snap with the starting offense) nearly led a late comeback. I'm going Steelers, primarily because I hate GB, but also believe the AFC teams are generally a better bunch this year.

Muse is great, but I grew up listening to A-Ha, and they still have one of the best videos ever made, ever.
  6. Hope you enjoy that Dolphins game? ...
  7. :-) complete sarcasm, I promise!
  8. Goes to show how much better it is to preach abstinence over safe sex. Wouldn't want to make condoms available to these kids; it might promote sex! then again, look at Bristol...

Glad to see this post. Even if it took me several months to find this thread and read it. I do not think CP stole from Satriani, but I also grew up admiring Satch and his insane talent. Tired of reading how he's the most awful drug abusing pathetic musician. The guy is a phenom. I highly doubt the suit affected the CP fanbase. The CP "hatrers" were there long before and will still remain.
  10. Really cute! Looks like a golden lab. Same mentality, really sweet dogs!

These are crappy; took then from my phone and UL'd through photobuckets app, but I can get better ones later. No clue how many DP 12" were made, but I remember paying a lot for mine. Can't believe I never knew of this VLV 12", but had gotten away from the market for a short while, so a lot passed me by that I'm still trying to catch up with. Hope these photos come through ok.

Wow'. Thanks a lot for the info! I scoured the Internet, but couldn't find anything about this. Got it from a UK shop for $120 USD. Was a little leery, since I purchased off a written description only, but I'm really really glad I did. Absolutely mint. Thanks again!
  13. Ricky Gervais is hilarious. If a multi-million dollar star can't take a rib, they need to leave the business and seek therapy. He's the only reason I flipped back and forth between the Jets/Pats game.
  14. Have a question for my fellow collectors. Last month I took a chance, and purchased a pro VLV vinyl on description only from a well reviewed UK record shop. Just got it in the mail today. The 12" sleeve looks just like the CD pro sleeve (cream colored w/titles centered). 12" has the full record; both sides state "promotional use only." LC0299/50999 217831 11/ VIVA001. It's not an acetate, just a vinyl promo. Looking for any other info on this if you have it, #made, release areas, general price point, etc... Thanks in advance for any info!!!
  15. This made me laugh out loud. Perfectly stated!
  16. So, that means the court cannot report to your state's Secretary of State, and no points can be assigned to a driving abstract should a conviction be ruled? or really, no conviction can ever take place, only a civil monetary judgement? Does the state's suit amount change pending the actual speed over assigned MPH? I know municipalities "sue" for red light camera violations, but never heard of one not holding municipal traffic court with direct citations issued to motorists in violation if the state's vehicle code. Do they do the same with registration and equipment failures? This is fascinating! My state is getting tougher and tougher in penalizing perpetual offenders, and other states can't get off their asses to prosecute even those that deserve it. I'm not for throwing the axe at everyone, but a lot of people deserve it. It really us pathetic to think some of these folks can do whatever they'd like, whenever they'd like, as often as they'd like, and never suffer a suspension or revocation of their priviledges. Wow.
  17. Also, stick to no more than 10 over. Some will still grab you for less, but in most places, 10 is safe.
  18. A speeding ticket is technically an arrest, which is why a bond must generally be posted (drivers license, money, or I-bond). When youre summoned to court for a moving violation, it's a division of criminal court, not civil. Civil court is like what you see on Judge Judy. Your only defense would be to prove you were not speeding, else you're best to request a traffic safety school (if offered) or supervision. School would automatically give your supervision. Trust me, Ive been in law enforcement for nearly ten years.
  19. Should know in just a couple months.

Contact UPS immediately with your tracking number. It's happened in the past, that packages can be mis-delivered, or accidentally scanned as delivered. Then call Amazon asap. They should ship you new books immediately and at no extra charge. Unfortunately, they could have also easily been stolen from your doorstep. Happens every days. But you're not just "out" your purchase. UPS will send drivers to knock on doors, retrace steps, etc... Amazon will likely split the loss with UPS. For future reference, the faster you call after realizing something like the has happened, the better. UPS can follow up faster and Amazon can resend faster. If theft appears to be the case, you can also notify your local police.
  21. And that when used in the song, that word is sung as a vulgar idiot pissing about the ease of the rich rockers. Had no context of demeaning a gay individual. There are so many stories out about this now; most are really really entertaining. Apparently the ban came after one complaint from one person. The CBSC claims they've never received complaints about the "n-word", references to explicit acts of violence, or the general degradation of women. Initially, I found that hard to believe, but then figured most people do what I do...twist the knob, flip the station, listen to something else.
  22. Meh! Those just pass the time, while she's keepin an eye on Russia... :-/
  23. Saw this in the paper, and thought it had to be a joke. Apparently someone recently complained to the CBSC, over the use of an anti-gay term deemed offensive (and it is offensive), contained within the Dire Straits hit "Money for Nothing." And so, 25-years after the song became a hit single, it has been banned in its original form, though an edited version can be aired. The song is not intended to be anti-homosexual, and it really isn't. I have a lot of gay friends, who find this far sillier than I do. Mostly, I find it sad, in this day and age, the complainant found nothing more pertinent to fight for, whether it be in his/her municipality, country or within the gay community. And that the complaint was given such heavy merit. Some of the comments attached to these articles are interesting. Many folks bring forth examples of songs written by Dylan, Springsteen and the Stones with material that could easily be deemed far more offensive. Sorry to sound off, was never a huge fan of the song (though I do remember when it was big), but overall I find this a little ridiculous. Maybe a part of me is a little surprised it didn't happen in the States first. http://thechronicleherald.ca/Opinion/1221893.html http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2011/01/14/way-eh-canadian-station-defies-money-ban/?test=faces
  24. couldn't have stated it better myself.
  25. I agree it's BS when they pull them. The rule used to be, if there are bids, the item stays up "as is.". Apparently that courtesy has gone out the window. Though, I think it might work like bid retractions; after so many, eBay notices it's becoming a problem?
