  3. flaming lips - race for the prize
  4. i'm too lazy to sort out job applications.
  5. really! i would of sat through the credits if i knew something dedicated to him was coming at the end.
  6. oh no, that video makes me cringe
  7. so many people seem to crave to see it again after seeing it once! :D and i am one of thise people, ever since i left the cinema i have desperately wanted to see it again! i think i am going to do so sometime this week, or next week if not. batmans voice does make me laugh admittedly, christian bale didnt really excite me as batman, seemed bit flat and lacked something. but i did enjoy batman when he had scenes with the joker. good scenes.
  8. that clip will keep comng back like a boomerang. it is hilarious though, bizarre laugh! love that rip cover too, his voice is surprisingly perfect there considering his voice isnt also so live. :D
  9. this story certainly sounds more and more truthful by the day as more people put forward their support of kele'e claims. lydon just looks a horrible person for denying it all.
  10. saw this last night for the first time, what an amazing film, the joker was the standout character in the film, when he wasent on screen i was thinking when if he going to turn up again! great dialogue for the film throughout for everyone. i loved everything about the joker, the voice, dialogue, the whole physical image, etc. its just terrible that ledger is not alive to be able to receive the praise for doing this role. and indeed terrible that he cannot go on to play more interesting and challenging characters in future films. he proved he could do it here, and of course in brokeback mountain.
  11. i think BSP, Elbow, Last Shadow Puppets and Radiohead are in with a winning shot. I enjoy Neon neon's effort alot but its more good than great and not worthy of winning to me. Burial could also win i guess.
  12. seeing as i enjoy both albums i am going to listen again to both and then comment. havent listened to both in full in a little while.
  13. Erm, its definately a hard question to answer, to pinpoint why you like someone's music. Factors i enjoy throughly about radiohead that i do not always find in others; that wonderful voice, he delivers lines in songs with such great emotion, whether its falsetto or sneering delivery. The structure of the songs, thom is just a great songwriter simply, from the more conventional simplicity of 'gagging order' and 'street spirit' to the weirder affairs of 'dollars and cents' and 'national anthem'. I just appreciate all the different twists and turns in the songs. I love that they have tried different things over the course of their albums, 'the bends' straight forward guitar fuelled affair which reveals some classic songs. 'amnesiac' with its moody, dark exterior which eventually reveals a warmth in the details of the song elements. I dont really know what else to comment on....this probably doesnt help at all  but it really is hard to explain.
  14. i cannot wait to see this! planning to go with a friend as soon as it comes out here. all reviews make it sound amazing so far
  15. I love divine comedy! What a genius songwriter Neil is :D very much underrated.even though i can understand why not everyone likes them.
  16. Yessss. i highly approve this thread :D
  17. Everyone has their own view, but i await oasis's new album......will it actually be interesting
  18. I'm quite enjoying modern guilt, it seems like a classy little album. better then the information i'm sure already.
  19. beck - gamma ray
  20. Haha that is a bizarre occurence, i cant even imagine that :| but i would be the same, to not say anything, and just observe from afar  He clearly loves his clothes though.
  21. It was pretty great as i remember it. people were pleased that it turned up by the sound of it, and sang along to every word. i think i agree with *politik* about the venue though, i didnt really like the venue, it was just too big. i really envy those people who saw the guys on their 06 tour in smaller venues. and i also agree about people who came late and pushed their way to the front not caring for those who queued for hours (like me). i can see why a golden circle idea is good now.
  22. So glad they played idioteque, everything in its right place, airbag! little surprises like planet telex and dollars and cents, cymbal rush were wonderful! crazy concert.
  23. i heard this randomly on the radio for the first time, it was the first time i've heard anything by them. i'd heard the name fleet foxes for a few weeks on a messageboard and that they were good. definately interesting.
