  1. I like this band. I have yet to buy either albums because there are just other albums that are higher on my "must buy or die" list.
  2. Hallelujah is not Buckley's song. It's Leonard Cohen's.
  3. I watched a lot of music videos from about 2-8. My mom had a few 33s, but I don't remember listening to them that often, but I think I'm going to do that this weekend. See if I can find some good music. I'm black and my mom used to have a lot of good old skool r&b and soul stuff, but her basement flooded and a lot of those record got destroyed. Not the point... When I was about 9 years old, my friend Cory introduced me to Green Day and "Dookie" was the first cassette I bought that was mine and that album literally rocked my world because I had always wanted to be a musician but this album and the movie, "That thing you do" really sealed the deal for me. Now, the only MTV I watch is MTV2 and I watch stuff like Subterranean and that's it. I mostly try to find music on my own by getting recommendations from other artists I like, to reading Pitchforkmedia, tiny mix tapes, researching and listening to the clips on Amazon.com. I don't listen to the radio unless it's like music from the 50s/60s/70s. I've been trying to get into Dick Dale and a lot of jazz and blues. I'm really can't wait to start building a jazz and blues collection. I hope I can find some stuff I really enjoy.

I bought the album, but that's so not cool how they totally debo-ed a Strokes' song title. Hahaha!
  5. Beck- Midnite Vultures Blur- Think Tank Coldplay Live 2003 CD/DVD The Dandy Warhols- Welcome to the Monkey House (I'm def. trading this in!) Jack Johnson- On and On Jet- Get Born (They're sort of an AC/DC ripoff but they're fun) The Strokes- Room On Fire I feel like I'm missing one, but I can't think of what it is. Oh, well.
  6. I only listened to the album once, but there's something really off about it. I'm going to buy it so I can figure out what it is that is so off. I didn't really like Morning View at first either, lyrically. It seemed Boyd was just trying to hard to sound profound, but it grew on me. I don't listen to it a lot now, but it's great fun to listen to in the summer while Make Yourself is more of a fall/winter album for me.
  7. Jeez. They need to get with the program. Kwanza is where it's at, ya'll!!!!!!
  8. Bottlenecks look cooler, dude. Ok, I'm just playing. I have no clue. I'm sorry that I'm no help. Anyhoo, I don't think it would make that big of a difference, but maybe so since they mentioned that he actually used a bottleneck.

Nikon FM10 or N75 SLR Camera and a keyboard. Some random DVDs and CDs would do too. Oh, yes! A REAL CHRISTMAS TREE!!!!!!!!!
  10. :stunned: At first I was like, "WTF?" Politik...? Great song, though.
  11. Yeah, that's what I was thinking when I saw "Frat Rock". Hahaha. I used to like both of those bands too. I don't know what the hell I was thinking at the time. Oh, yes.... Puddle of Mudd's line, "I love the way you spank my ass."
  12. I thought the Eminem Show was quite repetitive as far as lyrics go, but what do I know, right?
  13. See, I knew as soon I heard that Gwyneth Paltrow was seen at one of their shows a long time ago, that she would end up dating him, but this baby thing sure is quite a surprise. Haha. As Keanu would said, "Whoa!" Anyhoo, sounds excellent.
  14. I like them both. I've been a fan of Matchbox Twenty longer, and I really liked Rob Thomas' acoustic piano version of 3 AM... so I'll pick him.
  15. Love the show, but I can't stand Jackie and Kelso.
  16. This is why a lot of people are so pissed off about the way the movie ended. See, when Neo is being pulled on the platform by the Head Machine (It has a name. I just can't remember it.) his code is being reinserted into the Matrix to RELOAD it. So basically the Matrix is just rebooted and all of the people inside are still plugged in, BUT the difference about this version of the Matrix is that people have the CHOICE to stay in and or leave and no one will stop them. A lot of people saw this as being a complete waste of the movie since the whole point was to set the human race free, but if you really think about it, it couldn't have ended any other way for the sole reason that the Real World was destroyed. It's not like anyone could live on the surface. They would have to live in Zion and I'm sure there would be people who rather be lied to than live in Zion like Cavemen almost. Humans had to realize that there was no other way to live but to live in peace with machines since we obviously can't live without them. In short, the Matrix still exists, but people now have the choice leave or stay. :)
  17. I put numbers on them to be organized and also the list is in alphabetical order. It doesn't mean I'm going to buy them in that order. My Cds are alphabetized too. I like to be organized even though I can be quite messy when it comes to papers.
  18. A mix of Pete Yorn, Ben Kweller, John Mayer, Coldplay, Third Eye Blind, and Fiction Plane.
  19. I have over 100 CDs, and I don't even listen to half of them anymore, but they're apart of my childhood and adolescence so I know there's going to be one day I'm going to pop them in just to remember how I felt back then. It's cheesy and a lot these albums either just plain suck or have a bunch of filler songs, so don't judge a book by its cover, eh? 1. 2GETHER- 2GETHER 2. 2GETHER- 2GETHER AGAIN 3. 3 Doors Down- The Better Life 4. 98 Degrees- Revelation 5. 22. I think people went into Reloaded and Revolutions expecting too much. It's not going to be anywhere near the original because basically everything in the Matrix was pretty fresh for nearly everyone except for people extremely familiar with the japanese and kung foo filmmaking styles. I really liked Reloaded. A lot of people didn't enjoy the Action-Philosophy-Action way of filimg, but I thought it was fine. I realize that Revolutions couldn't have ended any other way because it just would have been too unrealistic.
  23. I pretty much understand so much from the Matrix from having a lot of discussios with other Matrix fans and so forth. So to answer the questions you asked... Who is this little girl? The little girl named Sati is the "love-child" of two other programs in the Matrix, but she has no purpose so she must be deleted. Her father struck a deal with the Merovingian so that she hide in the Matrix and live out her "life" so to speak. Sati proves that Machines can love just like humans. She ends up making significant changes to the Matrix. For example, if you didn't notice, throughout all of the trilogy the Matrix's main colors are black, white, and green. This in a way keeps the humans who are still plugged in under control by not inspiring them to think. Sort of like the way slaves were prevented from learning to read and write as they would get ideas and would be able to think for themselves. Sati changes many things about the matrix by adding a sun, a touch of blue sky, then it seems the Oracle is sitting in some kind of park with a lake. how come agent smith at the end turns into the oracle? Like Neo said in Reloaded, Smith found a way to copy himself and because Smith had so much power in the Matrix he turned everyone in the Matrix into a copy of himself. They don't show Smith turning Sati and Seraph into Smiths, but they do show Smith turning the Oracle into one. So basically, at the end, Neo allows Smith to copy him so that way the Machines in the real world kill Neo resulting in the demise of Smith since Smith has turned Neo into a Smith. Once Smith is destroyed at the end, everyone in the Matrix becomes themself again which is why we see the Oracle in the Crater and Sati lying on the cement. how did neo get to be the one in both worlds? Ok, it is believed that after Neo went to see The Source/The Architect in Reloaded, he changed somehow. Like, some of the Architects code was imprinted into Neo sort of the way Neo's code was imprinted into Smith. The catch? Neo could only control other MACHINES in the real world. Ex? Neo can see other Machines and Sentinels after being blinded, but cannot see Trinity when she dies and can't drive the Logos. So really he didn't really come into his full powers of being the one because he could only connect to other Machine worlds while was basically invincible in the Matrix. what was the explanation they gave for the oracle changing her looks? In Reloaded, the Merovingian says something like, "...and tell the Oracle her time is almost up." In other words, she is going to be punished for helping out people in the Matrix, so she had to find a new shell. The Oracle is a program just like Smith, Merovingian, the agents and Seraph. So basically while part of her was destroyed (her look), other parts were still there (Her love for candy, baking, etc). I know this is long, but I hope I answered you questions. If you have any other questions, I'll be happy to answer them. :D
  24. God, I used to be such a huge baseball fan. I didn't know "shet" about the major leagues, but just playing it was fun. Anyhoo, I'm also from So-Fla, so yeah, GO MARLINS! I was almost sure that the Yankees were going to open up a can of whup-ass.
