Yamaha, eh? I've been wanting to get a Yamaha for a while.

Do you play an instrument?
I've been playing guitar for a little over two years, but I've been trying to teach myself and I just don't think it's going to work because I don't really have the slightest clue on what to do. I can play songs, but I definitely need some help and advice since I have such small hands. So frustrating, but I'm going to do something about it real soon.

Anybody good at beat-boxing?
I've heard worse than J. Trousersnake, but I can tell you this... I suck at it. Kudos to the people who can though! D-d-d-d-d-damn!

I'm buying a guitar...
Depends on what kind of sound you're going for... If you're going for a "bluesy" sound GO WITH THE TELECASTER! If you're going for straight up distortion and/or punk sound, go for the stratocaster.

:: Required :: help with learning how to play the guitar!
If the steel strings get too much, replace them with Light or Extra Light strings and work your way up. I've been playing with the strings that my guitar came with for two years and I just can't take it anymore. Getting that F barre chord and Bb barre chord is proving to be a little too difficult for my small hands.

Alternate Tunings
Hahaha. You guys are a hoot. I'm a dirk (don't even ask) so I use standard tuning, but I'm going to start experimenting in about a couple of months because I'm ca-razy like that.

I have just seen the sexiest guitar ever!
Glad to see people as passionate as I am about this weird kind of stuff.

Don't know how to play piano, yet... but on guitar, I love playing all the coldplay songs I know which are, Don't Panic, Shiver, Spies, Yellow, Trouble, Parachutes, Life Is For Living, In My Place, God Put A Smile On Your Face, Green Eyes, and Warning Sign

Scientist Piano tab?
I've been wanting to learn instruments for years. I can play the drums, I'm learning guitar, but I'm very anxious to learn piano. If Coldplay doesn't get people psyched to play piano, I don't know who else does. :D

OK who saw Gigli
Ben Affleck made some comment that went something like this: "Gigli was so bad, I had to wet my palette by watching Glitter."

Alien Ant Farm
Most people know that AAF's Smooth Criminal is a cover song. I don't have the album, but I did enjoy their singles including the new, "These Days".

Bands that will NOT shape tomorrow's music..
Everyone is looking for originality and unless you've never listened to another person's music and just happened to pick up a guitar and teach yourself how to play, then I don't think anyone will ever NOT be influenced by something or someone else. Everyone needs to stop concentrating so much on what other people are listening to and just focus on what you like. There will ALWAYS be something out there that you or someone else doesn't like. I don't like a lot of stuff that's out now either, but if it was nu-metal, bling bling rap, manufactured pop, or pop punk it would be something else, so just GET OVER IT.

Good Charlotte
How dare you?!? GC will never amount to the greatness of bands such as Coldplay, Radiohead, The Smiths... blahblahblah. Ok. I'm just joking. If that's what you like, go buy it, but to tell you the truth, I cannot stand their music. I bought the first album 2-3 years ago. I kind of liked that one. This crap they are putting out now is just a disgrace. I cannot stress enough how much I loathe this band, but go ahead. Go buy the album if you like it. :-x

MTV SUCKS
MTV does suck. MTV 2 isn't bad. If you want good hip-hop, you have to watch MTV2. I hate the way MTV has turned hip-hop into this stereotypical genre of music. Terrible... terrible. MTV2 plays really cool videos at like 2-3 AM in the morning, so it's really not even worth it. :x

do your parents like coldplay?
My mom loves Coldplay. It's scary. She loves how Chris is so into his music. :o

kudos to gwyneth
I don't know. Maybe I don't really like her because her character really played that guy in Great Expectations. Poor Dude. Finn... was his name? Pip? I can't remember which name it was. I liked her in Shallow Hal, though. Other than that, I'm not a big fan.

Sigur Rós
Sigur Ros is amazing. Haven't bought their albums yet, but it's on my list of many other albums. I'm broke... where will I find the money to buy all the shit I want?

justin timberlake
I have Off The Wall and Thriller by Michael Jackson. I've listened to them countless times. The only resemblance I see with Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson is Justin's falsetto singing thing, but a lot of singers have that going for them. With that said, I think the image that is projected of him is okay. I like his solo album and I have NSYNC albums too. I like a bunch of different stuff. Not a big fan of grunge though. That whole self-loathing thing just cramps my style, so to speak.

MATT GOOD
My favorite Matthew Good song is Weapon. I haven't heard that much of the MGB, but I'm just going to buy their albums anyway. I mean, if I don't like them, I can always trade or sell them, so what's the big deal?

kelly clarckson
I'm a pretty open minded person when it comes so many things especially music, but there's no way in hell that I'm going to buy Kelly Clarkson's album. All I want to know is if she wrote or co-wrote the songs on her album? At least I'll be able to respect her if she did.
