People tend to overlook that. If you want to use most people's generally accepted definition of terrorism (under which bombing innocent people doesn't count as long as you do it from a destroyer 1,000 miles away), I'd like to remind them of the name "Timothy McVeigh." Or maybe the IRA too. And I'd say a lot of what Israel has been doing lately would count. Anyway, I guess what's more important than proving that all terrorists aren't arabs is just giving the average arabic person the same respect and treatment that the rest of us would get. How many white people do you think have been detained at Guantanamo Bay without being charged with anything for the past two years? I know I've got a point here, I'm just too tired to fully flesh it out. :rolleyes:

I dreamt a few nights ago that I got to meet Donovan McNabb, because he was staying at the same hotel as me or something... anyway, I wanted to tell him all about how I think he's the greatest QB in the league and how he's my favorite Eagle and I have so much respect for him and everything, but he thought I was mad at him because the Eagles choked in the NFC Championship game again. Usually my dreams tend to give me incredibly obvious symbolism, but I think that one was just things I'd like to say.

i liked life better when we weren't constantly being needlessly scared by our own government with "terror alert" color codes. for me personally, since i don't know anybody who lost a family member or anything, and i'm white (so people aren't groundlessly scared of me like they are of a pakistani friend that i have), that's about the only difference, other than that i'd have to show up at an airport twice as early now, but i never fly anywhere so that doesn't matter either.

well i just read that in addition to the cure, the pixies, kraftwerk, and radiohead, they've also got wilco, the flaming lips, air, stereolab, death cab for cutie, bright eyes, pj harvey, and broken social scene, all of whom are somewhere between "pretty good" and "fucking awesome," so i'd say that yes, if you can go, do it. :P (they've also got a bunch of boring rock/post-punk/pop/whatever bands like the yeah yeah yeahs, thursday, trail of dead, !!!, and sparta, if that's your bag)

i was actually going to go back to see jesus's life too. the only reason it's obvious is because it's the most interesting option. at least in my opinion. and if anybody cares, i'm not a christian either.

well, i just found a picture... and it's definitely her breast, but it looks like there's duct tape or something over the nipple... i guess it's probably whatever it was that was holding her cups on there.

i don't think there's anything to "get." other than that, if you haven't noticed, sternly has started roughly 8,000 topics in the past two weeks with the subject "IAN!!!!!"

i'm sure there will be pictures all over the internet by tomorrow, so we can verify. but i doubt that such a huge fuss would have been made if it was just a cloth, or that justin timberlake, janet jackson, mtv, or somebody would have pointed that out by now. and yeah, i have no idea why sternly wasted her time posting that either, i considered addressing it but figured somebody else would. :P

i'd be pretty psyched if i wasn't poor and 3,000 miles away. i can hold out hope for a US tour... anyway, yeah, Coachella sounds pretty cool, and i'd probably go if i wasn't so far away (then again, i didn't go to the field day festival either)

more importantly, KRAFTWERK IS PLAYING! WOOOOOOOOOO!! AND I CAN'T GOOOOOOOOO. and yes, i'm aware that i'm the only person here who thinks it's significant that Kraftwerk are playing a live show in the U.S. :rolleyes:
