  4. what are your favorite drum beats? they can be programmed beats you think are really cool, or a guy bashing on a drumset, or some of both (as my list is) anyway... here are my choices for right now: Sunny Day Real Estate: "Red Elephant" The Dave Brubeck Quartet: "Take Five" The Beatles: "Ticket To Ride" OutKast: "Spread" Bjork: "Cocoon" (less of a drum pattern than a series of clicks and pops) U2: "Sunday Bloody Sunday"
  5. in it right now: "The Love Below" from the OutKast double CD.
  6. OutKast - "Happy Valentines Day"
  7. i'm sure you must LOVE the GNR version of "Live and Let Die" ;)

  10. sometimes radio is nice because you might hear something new and different that you otherwise would never have heard. the trick is finding a radio station that's actually worth listening to. from my experience, college radio is pretty much the only way to go. i like NPR too but they're not big on music.
  11. i generally just watch other people's movies, because i won't watch them enough times to make it worth the 18 bucks or whatever. so i own exactly two DVD's: Bjork live at London Opera House Koyaanisqatsi
  12. "Nobody Does it Better" by Radiohead (originally Carly Simon) "Sloop John B" by the Beach Boys (originally a traditional folk song or something) "She Don't Use Jelly" by Ben Folds Five (originally the Flaming Lips) "Cortez the Killer" by Built to Spill (originally by Neil Young) "All is Full of Love" by Death Cab For Cutie (originally by Bjork) i know there HAS to be better ones out there but i can't think of any right now.
  13. they're pretty good. generally not the kind of music i listen to a lot but i enjoyed it nonetheless. but boo-urns indeed if you can't go.

  15. Stravinsky's "The Firebird" (suite, 1919 version) as recorded by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra :D
  16. i went to see rilo kiley in july and i swear the girl:guy ratio must have been about 20:1 anyway...
  17. *cough*NERD*cough* :P
  18. I have a confession to make: My mom is currently a bigger Coldplay fan than I am.
  19. Utah has the best radio programming in the world. It's common knowledge.
  20. it's ok for our military forces to murder women and children in afghanistan and iraq, but steve irwin just crossed the line. talk about a tempest in a tea pot.
