i can't answer the question asked by this thread but i can say that if arobtth was their debut album i probably wouldn't be a fan of them. :shrug: oh and i don't really think arobtth is necessarily an "evolved" sound. it's like they started evolving in a couple different directions, got stuck halfway, then made an album. none of the songs flow well with each other at all. hopefully the next album will be much better.

:shrug: i don't really know much about it but it just sounds like another case of media and whatnot assuming that because a guy and a girl are together in the same place more than once they're a "couple" again: :shrug:

uhh.... if it was on the radio, try pyramid song or knives out, and i think i heard i might be wrong on commercial radio once or twice... if it's not any of them i don't know what to tell you. :shrug:

update: all right my buddy is the man again, he emailed w.a.s.t.e. and they're letting us keep the first order of 4 tickets! :o :o :o i'm not getting my hopes up too much because they might change their minds or something... god, now what to do with the second order of lawn seats? if we do end up getting the pit seats. (i promise they will not be sold on ebay or anywhere else for more than what we paid)

what gives you the idea that they know "next to nothing" about politics? people who don't have political science degrees are allowed to have opinions too. i've also never seen anything that seems to suggest that coldplay hate americans and our government either. if you're referring to chris martin's anti-war stance, it's merely that. it's not a vendetta against everything america stands for (as so many people seem to interpret it, even when fellow americans are anti-war).

in my opinion, paying 45 bucks for a coldplay show is a ripoff no matter how long of a set they do. sorry, i know people won't like that, but there are very few bands or artists that i would pay that much to see. i can think of three. that said, i actually did pay 40 bucks to see them a few months ago, which was when i decided that. :roll: 25 and 15 were ok, 40 is a bit much.

roger nielson coached for 10 different teams or something so a lot of us hockey fans know him in some way. (you know, the weird guy with the tacky neckties). anyway, he died a couple days ago, i guess he finally lost his three year battle with cancer. :( he ended his career with the senators, but i'll always remember him as the guy who lost his job of three years with the flyers because he got cancer (he had to leave the team to undergo treatment and then when he came back bob clarke wouldn't have him back :roll: )
