  1. I see, thanks for that Denise! I take back everything I wrote - I hadn't counted on crazy Killers fans wanting to get to the front too. I guess it's gonna be Coldplaying.com vs The Victims then, so everybody: water pistols and pea-shooters at the ready for the Great Battle for the Front Row :P
  2. According to kimchitimeanddate.com it's nearly postcardupdate o'clock!! :P
  3. Hehe, hey Joe! Good to see you old pal :) Did you send a postcard too?
  4. Debs I heard people in Chile are very early risers indeed, in fact sometimes they don't go to bed at all because it's almost time to wake up! (SOMEONE WAKE LORE UP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!)
  5. I'm sorry if it's not, but it whiffs of a scam to me. Secret bidding by PM only? Even Dodg-E-Bay does better than that. We've had plenty of rip-offs on this site before that people have sadly fallen for, care to offer a bit more transparency, welsh_monkey?
  6. Hurrah indeed!! Did you go to all four gigs Yumi? We'd love to hear your little reviews, and which one was the best! :) It dropped out the setlist, alas, a little bit before the UK gigs I think. Also I had a thought that they might not play it in London for semi-obvious reasons. Still, even if i'm right in that they might at least have played Yes in all its extended glory that I don't think Europe has ever witnessed. Harrumph :inquisitive::laugh3:
  7. Hehe, no I don't know them, who are they? :P The venue really is tiny, much smaller than the Brixton gig some of us went to. I reckon I could turn up an hour beforehand and be in the first two or three rows (after all I managed that at festivals in the past with over 50 000 people in the crowd!!) but it depends how tenacious you are, I suppose. Anyway, even if I don't get a ticket i'm really, really hoping to get there to say a very big 'hello' to you all :)
  8. Hey Mich, hope you're well :) Ah, I thought all the mods and admins would know, otherwise I would've told you for sure! And you're going to the gig? Really hope I can make it along and at least say hi over a beer and maybe a bite to eat to so many friends from here! :sunny: Don't feel bad, please! You did your best, and coldplaying.com must make up somewhere near 1/10th the entire crowd. It's going to be an amazing gig, so no regrets, enjoy it!! :D
  9. It's a really small venue, and most people who go will be coming along after work. I think you could safely get there at four or five and be guaranteed a spot at the front. Personally I'd go at five/half-five and be confident of my place of choice (if I liked front row hehe). I still haven't managed to get a ticket, but if I'm well enough I'll be travelling up from Kent in the hope of getting one from good folk in the queue with one spare or a tout, though I won't pay them more than face value. Killers are on first, right? If so the tout prices drop after the gig's started, so at least I'll have a good chance of seeing Coldplay for a decent price :)
  10. It was just a little joke around the fact that the previous two gigs he'd been singing 'Tokyo'. He does vary it - in London at one of the two gigs I went to he changed it - I wasn't very happy as it's my favourite ever Coldplay lyric, but that's Chris for yer :D Nevermind :)
  11. ^^ Stunning video kedoku, many thanks for that, thanks to Mimi too :)
  12. What about Jumping Ships?
  13. :laugh3::P:laugh3: Was the gig in Kobe, Yumi? I thought the venue was in Osaka, just by the Yodagawa (near the Umeda Sky Building)? Anyway, really looking forward to your report from the gig. Three nights in a row you must be exhausted!! I really hope Chris didn't sing 'Tokyo sun' by mistake, he would have had lots of takoyaki thrown at him by the Kansai crowd :P
  14. Great photos! I always remember when a life-sized chocolate David Beckham was unveiled in Tokyo (Shibuya I think it was). You've never seen so many mobile phone cameras all fighting for space! Thanks a lot for the review Jenjie :) Though I wondered when the first one by a foreigner would pop up criticising the Japanese crowds :\ In my experience they're great when a band have a fanatical follwing (as Coldplay do). They're less aggressive and rude than English crowds that's for sure, I know which country I'd rather be standing near the front in! At the same time I've watched all the vids and the crowd on the floor were going nuts from what I could see  I suggest if the writer wasn't impressed by the energy he never sees the band in London :laugh3:
  15. Thanks a lot for the heads up everyone! I think I could've put something really good together with more time but until I saw this thread I'd thought it finished at 5. Not much you can do with only three minutes to enter and a migraine, I didn't even have time to mention the Killers. Oh well, last stab at getting to this gig for me, better than nothing, thanks :)
  16. Thanks Yumi! Ah I knew he would, bet that made a lot of Tokyo folk happy  AW, that's a shame...are you going today too? Lucky, lucky - have a great time :) The same as the London and other recent shows I think, if they followed the setlists Yumi got and showed a picture of on the previous page.
  17. I think you can expect less LiT versions, and Trouble or maybe another slight surprise in the set next week :)
  18. I'm feeling a bit more positive about being able to make this if I can find find a ticket. Don't forget me please peeps, many thanks! :)
  19. Okini Yumi chan! (Kansai no hito deshita!) Did you have fun?
  20. ^ There's a member called Yumi in the Lovers of Lovers in Japan group. Hopefully she's going to some of these gigs and will give us a little report...?
  21. Hopefully Chris'll play another cover of a Japanese song - the last one was so lovely, and just amazing to hear him do so well with it.
